A little behind-the-scenes look at our Frozen JR tech rehearsals ❄️🎭
Tech is such a huge part of putting on a show like this, and there is so much happening that the audience never really gets to see.
This video captures some of that process: giving notes and direction, working through microphone teching, adjusting dance blocking for the stage, rehearsing quick changes, practising special effects and making sure everyone knows exactly where they need to be and when.
It’s also the point where we finally start seeing all the different parts of the production come together in the theatre.
The children worked incredibly hard throughout the whole process, taking on notes, adapting quickly and learning just how much teamwork goes into making a big production happen.
A massive thank you to Galina for filming and putting this together. It’s such a lovely glimpse into everything that happens behind the scenes, and such a special memory for us all to have and look back on!

❄️ Frozen JR. What a weekend. 💜
We're not quite sure where to begin.
After months of rehearsals, learning lines, practising songs, costume changes, puppetry workshops and lots of excitement, Frozen JR is over... and we couldn't be prouder of every single one of our students.
Of course we're proud of what everyone achieved on stage, but some of our favourite moments happened behind the scenes.
The older children helping the younger ones, the encouraging words before going on stage, the friendships that have grown and the confidence we've seen blossom over the last few months.
We've had so many lovely comments, not just about the performances themselves, but about how kind, supportive and brilliant our students were backstage too, which means the world to us.
A huge thank you to all of our children, parents, helpers, chaperones and staff. Shows like this really do take a village and we are so grateful to everyone who played a part.
We'll be sharing lots more soon, but for now we're just taking a moment to soak it all in and appreciate what an amazing weekend it was.
Now it's time to celebrate everything we've achieved and start looking ahead to the next adventure…💖

Meet our incredible Olaf puppet, created by the ridiculously talented Aled Williams.
Aled has brought Olaf to life so beautifully, with so much detail. We feel so lucky to have something this special in our production. It is not every day a local youth theatre show gets puppets like this and we cannot wait for you to see him (and Sven!) on stage.
Our cast have been working so hard, and this is going to be such a magical addition to the show. ❄️
