What a week it's been!

With the soaring temperatures this week, our main priority has been keeping everyone safe, happy and as cool as possible. The children have enjoyed plenty of water play, shady outdoor activities and lots of opportunities to relax while still having fun with their friends. It's been wonderful to see them adapting so well to the hot weather and making the most of the sunshine.

We would also like to say a huge thank you to our amazing staff team. They have worked incredibly hard throughout the heatwave to ensure the children remained comfortable, hydrated and engaged in a variety of enjoyable activities. Their dedication, care and positivity have made all the difference, and we are so grateful for everything they do.

We hope everyone has a lovely weekend, stays cool and enjoys some well-earned rest. We look forward to welcoming you all back next week for more fun, learning and adventures together! 🌞💙

What a fantastic week we've had!

The children have been busy getting creative with their Father's Day sock crafts, which we're sure will bring lots of smiles this weekend. At breakfast time, we've been encouraging independence as the children practised making choices and helping themselves with growing confidence.

With the World Cup excitement in the air, we've been cheering on England and exploring the flags of countries taking part, sparking lots of conversations about the world around us. We were also delighted to introduce our new story baskets, which have inspired plenty of imagination, storytelling and hands-on play throughout the week.

From creative crafts to new learning opportunities and lots of laughter along the way, it's been a week filled with fun, friendship and discovery. We can't wait to see what next week brings!

A week full of fun, learning and celebrations!

We've been busy exploring and creating through play - from a lovely Mother's Day tuff tray, to St Patrick's Day activities, celebrating Eid with beautiful art and sensory play and lots of smiles for Red Nose Day.

So many special moments and hands-on learning experiences this week - we loved every minute!

📚✨ Last week we had so much fun celebrating World Book Day! ✨📚

Each room enjoyed their own book-themed day, with wonderful themes including Bananas in Pyjamas and The Cat in the Hat. The children had a fantastic time immersing themselves in stories and celebrating the joy of books together. 🍌🎩

At our nursery, reading plays a very important role in the Montessori philosophy. Through books and storytelling, children develop language, imagination, concentration and a love for learning that supports their development in so many areas.

We love creating opportunities for our little learners to discover just how magical stories can be. 📖💛

Our little learners loved celebrating by exploring books about Wales, creating beautiful daffodil arts and crafts, and learning all about the Welsh flag. 🌼📚🏴

💙✨ We had the best time celebrating Mental Health Week with our little learners! ✨💙

From our relaxing SPA Day to our calming sensory spa in the Baby Room, the children learned just how important it is to slow down, care for themselves, and look after their wellbeing. 🧖‍♀️🌈

We also explored different emotions through fun tuff tray activities, helping everyone recognise, understand, and talk about how they feel. 😊😢😡💛

👀 Look at teddy saying "Good Morning" to his friends! During group times, we have been practicing saying polite morning greetings to each other with our teddy 🧸

🔎 Did you know...? In the Montessori method, grace and courtesy is an explicit teaching of social norms, manners, and respectful behaviour which helps children to interact harmoniously with others and their environment.

🏠 Try at Home: Try role playing social phrases and manners with your child using their favourite soft toys or puppets. A "please" and "thank you" from their favourite character goes a long way!
