What an unforgettable 10 days it's been! 🐣🦆💛

From watching them hatch from their eggs to seeing them grow into confident, cheeky little ducklings, the children have loved every moment of their journey.

The children proudly named them **Feathers, Lennie, Woddles, and Squeeky**, and they quickly became much-loved members of our nursery, bringing smiles, laughter, and plenty of waddles along the way. 🥰

Yesterday, we said goodbye as they set off on their next adventure. Although we'll miss them, we're so grateful the children had the opportunity to experience their amazing first days of life, learning all about growth, care, and kindness through this special experience.

Good luck on your new adventure, Feathers, Lennie, Woddles, and Squeeky! We'll miss you! 💛🦆✨

A very special moment in our nursery Yesterday! 🐥 The children were amazed to watch one of our ducklings hatch. A wonderful opportunity to learn about life cycles, patience and caring for living things. 💛

A red Met Office weather warning has been issued for extreme heat covering Swindon from Wednesday (24 June) to Thursday (25 June), with temperatures expected to exceed 35 degrees.

This is in addition to the amber warning in place until Tuesday evening, and a yellow thunderstorm warning which is active until 9pm this evening. Please take care and look out for others throughout this period:

☀Check on family, friends and neighbours who may be more vulnerable
☀Keep an eye on babies and young children in the heat
☀Stay out of the sun between 11am and 3pm
☀Do physical activities during cooler parts of the day
☀Keep your home cool by closing curtains and windows in sunny rooms
☀Wear suitable clothing, use shade and apply sunscreen
☀Drink plenty of fluids and limit alcohol
☀Be safe when swimming in open water

Know the signs of heat exhaustion and heatstroke by using the link in the comments.

The Government-backed Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) remains activated, providing support for rough sleepers during times of hot weather.

This morning we had a very exciting delivery. Our duck eggs have arrived. Over the next 10 days the children will be observing these duck eggs turn into little ducklings! 🥚🐣🐥
