We are delighted to be providing all new Reception starters across our primary schools with a Transition Bag as they prepare for this exciting next step in their educational journey.

Filled with informative leaflets, a storybook, creative resources and activities to enjoy at home, the bags are designed to support children and families before they start school, helping young learners build confidence and develop key skills. Over 1,000 bags will be distributed across our schools for our September Reception Staters.

A group of teachers from our school, have signed up to run the Swindon Half Marathon on 27th September 2026 to raise money for SWA - Society Without Abuse.

As we wrap up the academic year, The White Horse Federation would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible Staff, Students, and Parents. Your support and commitment have been at the heart of everything we've accomplished this year.

We're so proud of everything we've achieved together, from classroom successes to community celebrations. By supporting one another, embracing new opportunities, and celebrating success, we've continued Inspiring Lives across our schools every day.

🏺✨ Year 3 Step Back in Time to Ancient Egypt! ✨🏺

Year 3 had an incredible day taking part in an exciting and immersive Ancient Egyptian Workshop! Many of the children arrived dressed as magnificent pharaohs, powerful gods and goddesses, and other fascinating Ancient Egyptian characters, helping to bring history to life.

Throughout the day, they enjoyed a variety of interactive activities including quizzes, drama challenges, true-or-false Egyptian facts and even worked in teams to create their own television news reports! 📺🎭

The children showed fantastic enthusiasm, excellent listening skills and brilliant teamwork throughout the workshop. They also impressed everyone with their growing knowledge and understanding of Ancient Egypt.

It was a fun-filled day of hands-on learning, creativity and discovery that will certainly be remembered for a long time! 🌟

⚔️ Year 4 stepped back in time for an exciting Viking Workshop Yesterday!

☀️⚽ Year 6 Fun in School – Days 2 & 3! 🎉🌳

While their classmates have been enjoying the residential, our Year 6 pupils in school have been having an amazing time too!

The last two days have been packed with fun, laughter and plenty of active games. From football, netball and goalie to exciting rounds of sardines and hide-and-seek, there has been something for everyone to enjoy. The children have also made the most of the beautiful sunshine, spending lots of time outdoors with their friends.

It has been wonderful to see everyone staying active, working together and having so much fun. They've had a fantastic couple of days and have created some brilliant memories along the way! ☀️💙

🏅🌟 Year 5 Sports Festival 🌟🏅

Our Year 5 pupils had a fantastic day at the Sports Festival hosted by Swindon Academy, where they joined children from primary schools across the local area for a day full of fun, challenge and new experiences.

Throughout the day, the children took part in a wide range of exciting activities, including fencing, rock climbing and many more. They embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm, determination and a willingness to try something new.

We are incredibly proud of the way they represented Gorse Hill, demonstrating our CARE values throughout the day. Their positive attitudes, excellent teamwork and encouragement of one another made them wonderful ambassadors for our school.

A huge well done to all of our Year 5 pupils for making the most of such an exciting opportunity and creating memories that will last a lifetime! 👏💙

🌿🏕️ Year 6 Residential – Day 2 of Oxenwood complete! 🛶🔥

What an incredible second day our Year 6 children have had at Oxenwood! The day was packed with adventure, teamwork and plenty of smiles.

From building sturdy dens in the woods and trying their hand at paddleboarding to learning essential fire-building skills and ending the day by roasting marshmallows around the fire, every activity encouraged the children to challenge themselves, work together and create lasting memories.

We are so proud of the enthusiasm, resilience and positivity they have shown throughout the day. Another fantastic day of adventure complete—we can't wait to see what tomorrow brings! 🌲✨

🎨⚽🌟 Fun-Filled Day for Year 6! 🌟⚽🎨

While some of our Year 6 children are away on residential, those in school certainly haven't missed out! We've had a fantastic day packed with exciting activities, including creative art, a lively game of Capture the Flag, hide-and-seek tag, and so much more.

There have been smiles, laughter and plenty of teamwork throughout the day, making lots of wonderful memories together. We can't wait for another day of fun tomorrow!
