White Paper Overview, Post‑16 Education and Skills ⚡📘

SLT, Curriculum Leads and CEIAG teams, the Government’s Post‑16 Education and Skills White Paper is setting the direction for one of the biggest shifts in post‑16 pathways in recent years.

This overview explores what the reforms mean for schools and colleges, including:

- A more skills driven system, aligned with real labour‑market needs
- A simplified qualifications landscape, with clearer Level 2 and Level 3 pathways
- Stronger careers integration, embedded across curriculum planning
- Employer connected learning, preparing young people for real opportunities
- Progression focused routes, supporting transitions into further study, apprenticeships and skilled employment

These reforms are reshaping expectations for 2026 and beyond, and early alignment will help schools stay ahead of the curve.

Gio will also share more about We Belong, their mission and the support they offer to young people with insecure immigration status.
