🌑 New Moon in Capricorn | January 18th ♑️

This New Moon invites us to slow down, ground ourselves, and set intentions rooted in long-term vision and self-trust.
Capricorn energy reminds us that growth doesn’t need to be rushed — it’s built steadily, step by step.

Now is a powerful moment to reflect on where you’re heading, what truly matters, and how you want to show up in your life this year.

✨ New Moon Reflection Prompts:

• What foundations am I ready to strengthen or rebuild?

• What goals feel aligned with my values, not external pressure?

• Where can I commit to myself with patience and compassion?

Let this New Moon be about quiet determination, gentle discipline, and trusting your inner authority.
Small, intentional steps taken now will shape the seasons ahead.

🌱 Set intentions that honour your pace.

🕯️ Rest, reflect, and realign.

🪨 You are building something meaningful.

Over these last couple of years I have chosen a word at the start of a new year that I use to set my intention for the year ahead.

2026 is BOUNDARIES

In Forest School this week, we have started sessions with early years college students and primary school pupils.

Both have been learning about physical boundaries/health and safety outside but also about our emotional, personal boundaries and how they are just as important.

Creating boundaries for your health and wellbeing supports your emotional needs.

When you apply boundaries they can benefit your work, your relationships, your health and your whole life.

I have learnt after experiencing trauma and burnout just how important boundaries are in how I show up for myself and others. They are now necessary in my life and a non negotiable.

Have a think about what your boundaries are...

What is your word for 2026? 🌿

SOBRIETY ✨️

I HAVE ACTUALLY LOST COUNT HOW MANY YEARS I HAVE GONE WITHOUT ALCOHOL NOW (it's either 2 or 3 years I think 🤔)
I stopped counting!

What started as a dry January challenge turned into a transformation process of my whole life 💪

Choosing to eliminate alcohol out of my life wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be.

I dont miss the hangovers
I dont miss the next day anxiety
I dont miss feeling low energy, low mood and so tired

But in truth, it did so much more than just support my health. It supported my wellbeing, my relationships, my career, my goals and values.
It made me more connected to myself, my family and my life.

If you are interested in sobriety feel free to message me for my tips and a chat

❄️ Winter Wisdom ❄️

Winter teaches us that rest is not failure — it’s preparation.

Nothing is blooming, yet everything is restoring.

This season invites stillness, helping us reconnect with ourselves and honour our natural energy. It reminds us we don’t need to be productive all the time, and that inner work often happens quietly, beneath the surface.

Winter asks us to trust our pace, simplify, and soften.

Even in the darkest days, growth is unfolding.

🌿 Slow down. Rest. Trust the season you’re in.

❄️ Snow is an invitation for stillness❄️

When snow falls, the world softens.
Sounds are muted. Movement slows. The landscape rests beneath a quiet white blanket.

Snow naturally invites stillness, and this stillness is deeply supportive for our nervous system.

✨ The hush of snow reduces sensory input, giving our overstimulated minds a chance to settle.

✨ The slower pace of winter mirrors what our bodies need — rest, regulation, and repair.

✨ Watching snow fall can gently activate the parasympathetic nervous system, helping us feel calmer, safer, and more grounded.

In winter, nature isn’t asking us to push or produce.
It’s inviting us to pause. To breathe more slowly. To rest without guilt.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, take a moment to sit with the snow — even through a window.

Let its quiet remind your body: you are allowed to slow down too.

🌨️ What if winter isn’t something to endure, but something to soften into?

First week back to school/work after Christmas can cause overwhelm, dysregulation and overstimulation of our nervous systems.

This can look like:
❄️ Quick, snappy reactions and dysregulated behaviour/emotions

✨️ Overstimulation to noise, lights and scents

🌳 Quick short breaths, racing mind, racing heart, overwhelming thoughts. Or brain fog and lack of energy.

🌲Lack of movement or high energy movement (e.g bouncing off the walls)

As a parent and educator, I observe this behaviour in my family and in my students.

My co- regulation strategy is to GO OUTSIDE 🌿

"If there are no walls, they cant bounce off them".

Spending time outside breathing the fresh air, in natural sunlight, in natural environments and moving our bodies helps to regulate our nervous system, calm our minds and release stagnant energy/any tension.

It does wonders for me and mine, give it a try ❤️

I was doing Forest School long before I even knew about Forest School

🌿 I am an outdoorsy, nature loving parent and giving my children outdoor experiences from a young age felt very important to me.

🌻 My children loved exploring nature from a young age.

🌳My children were NEVER bored because they enjoyed playing in nature.

☀️ They loved to play in all types of natural environments.

🌲They loved playing with different natural materials.

🏕 They loved making dens in nature

🔥 We love a good campfire experience

✨️ We made dens inside too

CREATING PATHWAYS

Physically and metaphorically 😉

Creating a Forest School is a transformation process

I create safe outdoor learning environments for learners of all ages and abilities, whilst also protecting wildlife and nature.

Working in harmony with the land to provide holistic learning and wellbeing experiences.

Education is transforming!
We know that we all learn in different ways and that Outdoor Learning can profoundly benefit inclusive practice.

Forest School Approach to learning offers opportunities for those who struggle with learning the traditional way (aka at a desk sat on a chair in a classroom) and offers a different Pathway forward in their learning journey😀

It offers opportunities for ...
🌿Movement and active learning

❄️Sensory experience

🔥Hands on learning

🌳Holistic development

🌲Experimental learning

🌻Experiential learning

Educators have predominately been taught how to teach one way but now Forest School is creating pathways for educators to educate more creatively and intuitively to support ALL OF THEIR LEARNERS ❤️

I truly believe that Forest School provision is way more than just playing outside! It's a TRANSFORMATIVE APPROACH ✨️

I AM RICH BECAUSE ...

Sometimes we can take for granted just how rich we are!

Being rich in life isn't necessarily about how much you earn or what material possessions you own.

Give it a try and take a look at what makes you "rich" in your own life ✨️
