✨ HELPING DANCERAMA PERFORMING ARTS SCHOOL CREATE SOMETHING MAGICAL! ✨

I’m really excited to be supporting Dancerama Performing Arts School with a very special project they are putting together for their children and young people this Christmas. 🎄❤️

I can’t reveal too much just yet 🤫, but they have been given an amazing opportunity to be involved in something completely different and very exciting, which will give their students the chance to create some incredible memories and be part of something truly magical.

Dancerama does so much for children and young people in our local community, making dance and performing arts accessible and affordable and providing opportunities for children who might not otherwise have them.

The project involves taking a large group of students on a special trip, and while Dancerama are working hard to keep the cost as low as possible for families, there are significant transport costs involved.

Rather than simply asking people for donations, I wanted to come up with some fun ways to help raise funds while giving something back in return.

So, as one of the first fundraising ideas, I’m going to be raffling a weekend stay in my caravan for Mother’s Day from the Friday to the Monday! 🌸🏡

Every pound raised will go towards helping Dancerama give these children the opportunity to be part of something they will hopefully remember for years to come. ❤️

Last night was one of those moments that reminds me exactly why I love being a Performing arts and dance teacher. ❤️

I was so incredibly proud watching two of my pupils, Ashley Jones and Livi Penhaligan, performing in Bring It On: The Musical at Swansea Arena. 🎭✨

We have had the absolute pleasure of teaching these two talented young ladies since they were just 6 years old. To watch them grow from little girls taking their first steps in dance into confident, talented young performers is something very special.

Ashley is about to take her next exciting step, starting Bridgend’s Musical Theatre Diploma in just a few weeks, while Livi is heading into her final year at college before continuing to follow her performing dreams. 🌟

And that’s the thing about being a Performing Arts teacher…

It’s not just about teaching steps.

It’s watching little people grow into amazing young adults.
It’s being there for the nerves, the excitement, the tears, the achievements and the celebrations.
It’s helping them believe in themselves when they don’t quite believe in themselves yet.
It’s creating memories that they will carry with them long after they leave the studio.
And sometimes, it’s standing in an audience years later, watching them perform on a stage like Swansea Arena and feeling unbelievably proud that you got to be a small part of their journey. ❤️

Ashley and Livi, you should both be incredibly proud of yourselves. Watching you perform last night was an absolute privilege.

Keep dreaming. Keep working. Keep performing. The world is your stage. 🌟

And to think it all started with two little six-year-olds walking into the studio… 🥹❤️

Happy 25th Birthday, Miss Aaliyah! 🎉🎂💖

It feels like only yesterday you were a little 7-year-old girl, and now here you are celebrating your 25th birthday. Watching you grow into the amazing young woman you are today has been such a privilege and a joy.

We all love and adore you, and we are incredibly proud of the kind, caring, strong, and beautiful person you have become.

Thank you for being you. Your kindness, patience, warmth, and encouragement have made such a difference to so many people. You have a special way of making everyone feel valued and loved, and that is a rare gift.

You are not only adored by us, but by all of our Dancerama and DBR pupils too. The love and respect they have for you speaks volumes about the wonderful person you are. You inspire them, support them, and bring so much positivity and joy wherever you go. To so many of them, you are a role model, a friend, and someone they look up to.

As you celebrate this very special milestone, we hope you know just how loved and appreciated you are. May your 25th year be filled with happiness, laughter, success, good health, and every blessing you deserve.

A brilliant day today sharing the story behind “This Is Our City” with a number of media outlets .

We filmed an interview with Swansea TV, which will be broadcast tomorrow between 6–8pm on Freeview Channel 8, and also spent time with Bay News Media for interviews and photos that will be appearing over the next few days.

There will also be a separate article coming out in the South Wales Evening Post in the next few days as well.

We are incredibly proud of Arwen, the youth performance collective from Dance By Rebecca a BBO affiliated dance school , who spoke so eloquently about their love for the city, their communities and the connection people feel through things like music, culture and sport. They are all superstars !

I’m so happy to be able to give our wonderful pupils opportunities like this , experiences that go beyond the studio and allow them to take part in real creative projects that celebrate and impact the place they live. It’s something that makes what we do a little different, and seeing their confidence and passion shine through today was really special. ❤️

This project has always been about celebrating Swansea, its people, its diversity and the sense of belonging we share, and it’s been wonderful to see those conversations continue to grow.

I am so proud of Dancerama Wales and DBR alumni and current Laine Theatre Arts student Tyler Beddows, who performed at the Royal Albert Hall last night in “ Sandi Claus is coming to town “!! ❤️🎄❤️

Myself and Aaliyah Chantelle Moss-Maccarinelli are running the following open dance classes this afternoon in Llansamlet community centre.

12.00 till 1.30 = Beginners acro class (ages 3 plus)
1.30 till 3.00 = Acro for students who have gymnastic or acro experience (almost full)
3.00 till 4.00 = Hip Hop (Ages 7 plus +)
4.00 till 5.00= commercial (Ages 11 +)

Your child/young person does not need to be a Dancerama Wales or DBR pupil to attend any of today’s sessions.

Acro 1.5 hours = £7.50
Hip hop/Commercial 1 hour = £5.50 each
