A brilliant day today sharing the story behind “This Is Our City” with a number of media outlets .
We filmed an interview with Swansea TV, which will be broadcast tomorrow between 6–8pm on Freeview Channel 8, and also spent time with Bay News Media for interviews and photos that will be appearing over the next few days.
There will also be a separate article coming out in the South Wales Evening Post in the next few days as well.
We are incredibly proud of Arwen, the youth performance collective from Dance By Rebecca a BBO affiliated dance school , who spoke so eloquently about their love for the city, their communities and the connection people feel through things like music, culture and sport. They are all superstars !
I’m so happy to be able to give our wonderful pupils opportunities like this , experiences that go beyond the studio and allow them to take part in real creative projects that celebrate and impact the place they live. It’s something that makes what we do a little different, and seeing their confidence and passion shine through today was really special. ❤️
This project has always been about celebrating Swansea, its people, its diversity and the sense of belonging we share, and it’s been wonderful to see those conversations continue to grow.

Myself and Aaliyah Chantelle Moss-Maccarinelli are running the following open dance classes this afternoon in Llansamlet community centre.
12.00 till 1.30 = Beginners acro class (ages 3 plus)
1.30 till 3.00 = Acro for students who have gymnastic or acro experience (almost full)
3.00 till 4.00 = Hip Hop (Ages 7 plus +)
4.00 till 5.00= commercial (Ages 11 +)
Your child/young person does not need to be a Dancerama Wales or DBR pupil to attend any of today’s sessions.
Acro 1.5 hours = £7.50
Hip hop/Commercial 1 hour = £5.50 each

Dancerama and Dance By Rebecca pupils had an amazing time opening the parade on the Castle Square gardens stage and then performing to thousands on. the Dragon stage with Dancerama alumni and ITV’s The Voice Kids winner Swansea superstar Justine Claire Afante !!

Dancerama , Swansea’s premier independent award-winning Performing Arts school , based in Llansamlet community centre (Next to the Plough and Harrow) , has very limited spaces available for new pupils

We had a wonderful time performing on two stages at Swansea’s Christmas parade this evening !!! 🌟💃🎄🎅🏻🎭
A huge thank you to the amazing Justine Claire Afante for her amazing performances and all of the parents , guardians and family for supporting the Dancerama and DBR pupils on stage , who were so brave to perform in front of thousands this evening !!
The presenters said they were “blown away” by how confident and talented our pupils were and Rob Stewart , Swansea Council Leader, wanted to pass on his thanks to everyone of you for being involved in the Parade !!!
We were very busy moving our pupils between stages and moving them around on the stage so everybody could get a chance for a photo , so if you could post pics on the Parents and Guardians page that would be fabulous !!!
We hope you enjoyed the parade and made some Christmas memories - see you all tomorrow !!!
