In July we visited a National Trust property Berrington Hall. We were lucky with the weather. In the hall there was a beautiful dress that was on display. The dress was made to visit Royal Court.
We had a meal at the Abercamlais Inn.

In March we visited Bristol with a boat trip and a cream tea.also visited Oakham Treasures Museum . In April we visited the Black country museum . In the midlands . Very interesting .

We learnt a lot about Blaenavon cheese and had a very nice meal in the Whistle Inn followed by an hour at Trego Mill.

Good evening . Just an update on some of our visits of the last couple of months .
In March we had a few days away in Sidmouth. A very pretty place . We visited the Donkey Sanctuary where a few decided to adopt a donkey. We had a boat ride in Exmouth on the River Exe and visited many lovely seaside towns

Today we had a lovely fish and chips afternoon. We had a Beetle Drive, Tombola, Raffle , and a silly game where you had to throw a ping pong ball into a cup.sounds easier than it is . Out of five prizes only two were won .

A little late posting our latest escapades. In November we visited the helicopter air museum in Western Super Mare. It was very interesting with so many different makes, sizes, history of Helicopters . This was followed by a stop at the Cadbury garden centre. ( Nothing to do with the chocolate)

Lovely trip on Thursday to Castell Henllys, an iron age village reconstructed where the original village was 2000 years ago.it was very interesting. After a hot drink we walked to the village . Some were transported by car as it was a steep walk.we were given an informative talk about life in the village. We were able to walk into and investigate the various buildings .
We then proceeded to Fishguard where several of us went to see the tapestry which depicts the invasion of Wales by the French. The French thought that the ladies in their Welsh traditional dress were soldiers. One of the ladies was Jemima Nichols . The invasion was stopped in its tracks.
Our day ended with a nice meal at the Bridge Inn where we celebrated Anns birthday.
