Our members of staff are involved in collaborative research projects with several Universities across the United States, Asia and Europe. Faculty have written and edited books on film, literature, popular culture, politics, philosophy and history and the quality of our research feeds right i
nto our teaching. We are committed to deliver a truly exciting teaching programme which is intellectually wide-ranging, stimulating and demanding. Visiting Faculty from the United States teach modules to undergraduate students and speakers from all around the world take part in the American Studies Research Seminar programme. American Studies students enjoy a warm and friendly atmosphere at Swansea, all students have a personal adviser and the staff/student committee regularly organises academic and social events. Our graduates have entered careers such as global marketing and advertising, international and national recruitment, international business, law and finance, art, design and culture, teaching English as a foreign language, sport, heritage and tourism, defence and foreign affairs, media, government, diplomatic corps and humanitarian organisations. Many continue to Postgraduate study and a career in Academia.
