We’ve come to end of VIBES Wellbeing and Innovation Project, funded by the Welsh Government. It’s been a inspiring journey across Swansea, Neath Port Talbot, and Bridgend, and we’ve loved every second of it. 🫶🏽

Our facilitators have had the best time connecting with so many amazing young people. This year has been all about supporting young people understand themselves better, and finding creative, innovative ways to challenge the impact of poverty in their communities.

We’ve seen firsthand how powerful it is when young people are given the space to lead and think differently.

We’re currently putting the finishing touches on the official report, so stay tuned to see the full impact of what’s been achieved and recommendations to build upon this pilot in the future 📊

A huge thank you to all the young people who let us be a part of your journey this year. You’re the reason we do what we do! 💫

Last night, VIBES founders Karen & Jacob Henry headed down to the iconic Brangwyn Hall for the Swansea Bay Business Awards 2026. We were over the moon to be shortlisted for Non-Profit of the Year, and we’re coming home with a Highly Commended plaque! 🤩

It was such a brilliant night surrounded by so many local businesses doing amazing things across Swansea and beyond.

The professional photos are coming soon, but for now, here are a few snaps from the night. 📸

VIBE ON THE MOVE: Community Outreach Update!

Our dynamic duo, Ant and Lisa, have been pounding the pavement today! They’ve been visiting various Warm Spaces across the area, grabbing a cuppa and having some fantastic chats with the heart of our community.

We are officially on the hunt for passionate people to join our Steering Group and our VIBE Ambassador project. This is all part of our latest initiative funded by the Welsh Government’s Poverty Grant, aimed at putting the power back into the hands of the people.

How you can help: 💫
* Check out the flyer for all the details on our search. 📄
* Share this post with your friends, family, and local groups. 📲
* Say Hi! If you see Ant and Lisa out and about in the coming weeks, don't be shy, stop them for a chat!

Let’s work together to make a real difference. See you out there!

We are officially at the midpoint of VIBES Wellbeing and Innovation project at Brynmill Primary School. It is the perfect time to pause and reflect on how much these young people have already absorbed about the most important subject of all: themselves. 💜

At the core of every VIBE Youth project is Understanding Self. Today, we put that knowledge to the test with a battle quiz. While we wouldn't usually split the groups by gender, the students chose the teams themselves, and the energy was brilliant!
The quiz gave us a chance to see them reflect on some heavyweight topics:

Self-awareness & Core Beliefs
Self-regulation & Emotional Intelligence

These topics should be embedded across the Welsh curriculum, providing young people with the internal tools they need to navigate life.
Who says learning can’t be fun? It was a close call, but the girls took the win on this occasion! 🏆

More importantly, it was a fantastic session of reflection, proving that when you give young people the space to understand their own minds and emotions, they engage with incredible insight! 👌

🎄The VIBE Youth Board got together this evening to celebrate a massive year.

While Emma deservedly won the best hat competition, Laurence stayed true to himself and politely declined the headwear (no "tw*ts in hats" on his watch!). 😂

Thank you to our partners, supporters, and the community for standing by us this year. With our new board in place, we are ready to take VIBE to the next level in 2026. ✨

🎄 Christmas has come early for children who need it most!

This week, we’ve been reminded of the incredible power of kindness and community. Thanks to the generosity of The Climbing Hangar Llansamlet, families connected to our partner school will be receiving donated presents that will bring joy and relief at a time of year that can be especially difficult.

Through VIBE’s ongoing partnership with the school, these gifts will be carefully distributed by Sali and Danni, ensuring they reach the families who need them most. For many, the festive season can be a struggle - balancing rising costs, expectations, and the desire to make Christmas magical for their children.

We are forever grateful for this support. It’s not just about the presents themselves, but about the message they carry: that our community stands together, that joy can be shared, and that compassion can light up even the hardest of times.
And as we celebrate this generosity, we’re also looking ahead with excitement. In the new year, we’ll be returning to Brynmill Primary to deliver VIBE’s Wellbeing and Innovation Project - continuing our mission to support young people, nurture resilience, and spark creativity.

From all of us at VIBE, and on behalf of the families who will feel the impact of this generosity, thank you to the Climbing hangar for helping us make Christmas brighter, warmer, and full of hope. 🌟

December has arrived… and with it, a flood of memories. 🎄✨

VIBES founders have been sitting together at VIBE HQ, looking up at the wall covered in photos. Nearly ten years of faces, moments, and milestones stare back at them. Smiles from youth projects, snapshots of community events, the laughter of teams who’ve grown alongside us - each picture a reminder of why VIBE exists.

Running a social enterprise isn’t always easy. There are days when the challenges feel heavy. But then we look at that wall at the smiling faces, the resilience, the friendships and it fuels us to keep going. 💛

In the new year, the 365 day countdown begins... January 2027 marks a huge milestone: VIBE turns 10!

👀 Can you spot yourself in our Wall of Fame? Maybe it’s your smile that kept us moving forward. Maybe it’s your story that shaped ours.

Here’s to nearly a decade behind us, and the one ahead. 🌟

We are absolutely thrilled, buzzing, and overflowing with pride to announce some incredible news! Following a thorough review by an esteemed panel of judges, VIBE Youth CIC has been named a FINALIST for the NOT FOR PROFIT BUSINESS OF THE YEAR at the prestigious Swansea Bay Business Awards 2026! 🥳✨

This is a massive moment for us. To be recognised on this scale is a powerful affirmation of the impactful work we do every day with children and young people across the Swansea Bay regions and beyond. It truly celebrates our mission.

We can't wait to be at the iconic Brangwyn Hall on Friday, January 30th, where the overall winner and two highly commended businesses will be revealed on the night. 💜
