โšฝ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ† PPS World Cup 2026 โ€“ What. A. Final! ๐Ÿ†๐ŸŒโšฝ

After weeks of dedication, teamwork, passion and unforgettable football, our PPS World Cup 2026 came to a thrilling conclusion on 17th July with a blockbuster final between Ireland ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช and Spain ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ.

The atmosphere was electric as both teams gave absolutely everything, showcasing the skills, determination and sportsmanship that have made this year's tournament so special. ๐ŸŒŸ

The match finished 1-1 after full time, before an equally dramatic penalty shootout ended 2-2. With nerves jangling and the crowd on the edge of their seats, it all came down to sudden death...

โšฝ Tommy stepped up and scored the winning penalty!
๐Ÿงค Osian then produced a fantastic save to deny Spain and secure the victory!

Cue the celebrations! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ†
A huge llongyfarchiadau to Ireland, our PPS World Cup 2026 Champions, and well done to Spain for an incredible final.

A very special thank you must go to Mrs K Thomas, whose dedication, organisation and refereeing throughout the tournament ensured another fantastic World Cup for our children. From the opening fixture to the final whistle, her commitment has been truly outstanding. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ–ค

More than anything, we are proud of every pupil who took part. The teamwork, resilience, friendship and respect shown throughout the competition have been a credit to our school.
Football. Friendship. Fun. Memories. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ–ค

โ˜€๏ธ ๐Ÿ’ง๐Ÿงข๐Ÿ•ถ๏ธ โœจ Stay Safe in the Sun... But Have Fun! โœจ ๐Ÿ’ง๐Ÿงข๐Ÿ•ถ๏ธ โ˜€๏ธ

That was the important message at the heart of our learning as we became sun safety champions! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Our learners explored all the different ways we can enjoy the sunshine while keeping ourselves safe, from wearing hats and sunglasses to seeking shade, applying sun cream and remembering to drink plenty of water. ๐Ÿ’ง๐Ÿงข๐Ÿ•ถ๏ธ

Using what we had learned, we designed our own sun safety posters, creating catchy slogans and sharing important advice to help others stay safe too.

A brilliant combination of science, health and wellbeing, and creativity -proving that we can have lots of fun in the sun while looking after ourselves and each other! โ˜€๏ธโค๏ธ๐Ÿ–ค

๐Ÿž๐Ÿ”๐ŸŒˆ Whatโ€™s a Bugโ€™s Favourite Colour? ๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ”๐Ÿž

Our young scientists set out to answer an important question this week:
What is a bugโ€™s favourite colour? ๐Ÿค”

Through predictions, observations and careful investigations, we explored which colours were most attractive to the mini-beasts around our school. As the investigation unfolded, we realised we needed to adapt our methods and think carefully about how to make our results even more reliable.

Just like real scientists, weโ€™ll be reflecting, refining and improving our investigation . ๐Ÿงชโœจ

So far, the results are in... and it looks like oren (orange) is the winning colour! ๐ŸŠ๐Ÿž

We canโ€™t wait to see what our next investigation reveals!

After watching clips from the Commonwealth Games , our were inspired to be the very best they could be! ๐ŸŒŸ

Together, we identified the qualities needed to succeed: โœ… fitness โœ… focus โœ… concentration โœ… determination

Then it was time to put those qualities into action... and wow, did we rise to the challenge! From balancing and stretching to jumping and landing, our learners showed incredible control, perseverance and confidence.
Who knows? We might just have a few future gymnasts in the making! ๐Ÿคธโœจ

Dream big, work hard and believe in yourself - just like our sporting heroes. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ–ค
