🏛️✨ Stepping Back in Time in Caerleon ✨🏛️

Last week, our Sharks enjoyed an unforgettable visit to a Roman Fort in Caerleon, bringing their history learning vividly to life.

Pupils explored the impressive baths, amphitheatre, barracks and museum, gaining a real sense of what life was like in Roman times. Every step of the visit sparked curiosity and excitement as they connected their classroom learning to the world around them.

The highlight for many was the hands‑on workshop, where children had the opportunity to investigate real Roman artefacts and deepen their understanding through practical exploration.

A fantastic experience that truly brought history off the page - immersive, inspiring and unforgettable! ❤️🖤

🎢 A trip to a theme park?

Not quite -but the amazing Immersive Suite at was the next best thing! A huge thank you to Calum for an inspiring session that has really supported our planning and design thinking.

Our Year 6 pupils have experienced learning in the most exciting, hands‑on way possible - inspiring, creative and truly unforgettable. ❤️🖤

🏉✨ Six Weeks of Skills, Challenge and Teamwork! ✨🏉

Our have had an amazing six weeks working with Mark from , taking part in a series of exciting workshops that have developed so much more than just rugby skills.

From building confidence and teamwork on the field, to tackling a variety of creative and problem‑solving challenges each week, the pupils have embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm and determination.
Highlights included designing and making their own kicking tees and even taking on coding challenges -showing just how sport can connect with creativity, technology and thinking skills. 💡✨

It’s been fantastic to see pupils grow in confidence, resilience and collaboration, all while having so much fun along the way!

A huge thank you to Mark and for such an inspiring programme -an excellent example of learning that goes beyond the classroom. 🌟

🌺While we waited for our big moment on the Grand Theatre stage… the fun definitely didn’t stop backstage!

🌺There was drumming, jamming, limbo moves and lots of laughter as our Moana Crew made the most of every minute together with Miss Hale and Mrs D 🎶🌟
What a brilliant way to channel those pre‑performance nerves!

🌺The vocals sung beautifully by our choir and a lovely solo from Osian - a real highlight and a glimpse of the incredible talent within our group. 🎤✨

🌺These are the moments that make the experience so special - friendships, fun, and memories being made behind the curtain before the magic happens on stage.❤️🖤

What an incredible moment for our Penclawdd family -our amazing Moana Crew took to the stage at the Grand Theatre, Swansea as part of Primary Partners… and they were simply outstanding. 🌟

Not everyone gets the opportunity to perform on such an iconic stage, and our children embraced every second of it with confidence, pride and pure joy. From the first note to the final bow, they truly shone. 🎶✨

This journey has been about so much more than a performance -it’s been about teamwork, dedication, resilience and believing in themselves. We couldn’t be prouder of what they have achieved. ❤️🖤

A huge thank you to Mrs D and Miss H for their incredible commitment, passion and support in making this experience possible. And to our wonderful families, diolch for your constant encouragement -it makes all the difference.
