Birchgrove Comprehensive School Taking Pride in Achievement

A friendly reminder that we look forward to seeing all pupils on Thursday 3rd September 2026. Staff will be outside (weather permitting, if weather does not permit, contingencies will be made) to welcome pupils new and old, telling people where they need to be at the start of the day :)
Today at Birchgrove Comprehensive, we threw open our doors to welcome our Year 11 leavers, along with our Year 10 cohort (and a few Year 9 pupils), to collect their long-awaited exam results!
For some pupils, today marked the end of their chapter with us and the beginning of an exciting new journey elsewhere. For others, it marked the start of things to come!
A very busy few hours ensued, and we are incredibly thankful to all the staff who came along to support, encourage and congratulate our pupils.
We are even more grateful to all the parents and carers who brought their understandably fraught, excited and anxious children in, waited patiently, and supported them as we chatted about their next steps, what their results meant, or simply allowed them to bask in their achievements with their friends. ❤️ There were plenty of smiles, celebrations, nerves, hugs and proud moments throughout the morning.
