Well done to Kevin, Sienna, and James for representing the club at the WKGB squad training once again. Also, a massive congratulations to James for being selected for the WKGB Welsh squad 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 to attend the Commonwealth Championships in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 later in the year. Extremely proud of you!

Day 4 ✅ 🇪🇸
An early start at the arena this morning with a good warm-up, then straight to work. Chloe was absolutely fantastic today — I couldn’t be prouder of her. She secured her first win at the WKF Series A, defeating Switzerland, and this was only her third appearance at Series A level.

The next round she was up against a very strong French athlete. It didn’t go our way, but we learned so much from the match. A great haul of WKF world ranking points to take home, and best of all, Chloe hasn’t stopped smiling.

Onward and upward 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇪🇸🥋👊

Day 3 ✅
Final preparation session wrapped up this morning. Registration and coaches’ meeting done this afternoon, followed by some good food. Now back at the hotel getting all the gear ready for an early start tomorrow morning. 🥋👊

Day 2 ✅

An early start today with a morning flight from Barcelona to A Coruña 🇪🇸 After breakfast, we were lucky enough to check in early to a lovely hotel that will be calling home for the next few days.

We then headed out to explore this beautiful seaside city, taking in some incredible sights and views, including the Menhirs for Peace, Rosa dos Ventos, the iconic Torre de Hércules, the impressive Breogán statue, Castelo de Santo Antón, and a relaxing walk through the charming old town.

The day ended with a lovely meal and a great catch-up with Ellie (karate friends 🥋 Inbetweeners), and then an early night to catch up on some much-needed sleep.

Heads down now — another busy day tomorrow, all about preparation and registration 💪🥋

Day 1 ✅
Started with a Flexibus to Bristol, then flew from Bristol to Barcelona 🇪🇸, giving us most of the day to soak up this incredible city. We managed a quick visit to Spotify Camp Nou, the iconic Basílica de la Sagrada Família, and a few other famous landmarks along the way.

After a short rest, it’s back to the airport for our next flight to A Coruña tomorrow morning, ready for the next Karate Series A tournament. 🥋✈️
