Wow wow wow wow, what an incredible evening.

We are absolutely thrilled to have received the Highly Commended Award in the Child Care and Early Years category at the Swansea Life Awards 2026 sponsored by the amazing Au Vodka 👏

It was a wonderful celebration of the best of local businesses in and around Swansea and an honour to be recognised among so many inspiring organisations. As you can probably tell from the photos, we were completely in awe just to be nominated and attend such a prestigious event. To then receive a Highly Commended Award made the evening even more special.

Congratulations to Dyfatty Community Centre and to Pebbles Day Nursery, it is an absolute pleasure to join you fellow finalists as the Top 3 (voted for) nurseries in Swansea. It was fantastic to share the experience with such dedicated settings. 🙌

Raising awareness of childcare and the care profession is so important, and it’s inspiring to see the growing recognition for the incredible work taking place across our sector. We hope this momentum continues and that the profession receives the appreciation it truly deserves.

A huge thank you to everyone at FIS, your support, encouragement, and dedication are both appreciated and invaluable. Tweenies Farm Animal Feeding – Sensory Bin Activity 🐷🐮

Our Tweenies thoroughly engaged in our farm-themed sensory bin activity, where they developed their fine motor skills through hands-on exploration. This wonderful immersive experience also supported the enhancement of hand–eye coordination and early cognitive development, as they sorted, scooped, and “fed” the animals. 🐑

They all enjoyed immensely and we can safely say the animals were well fed 😁

🌸🍁 In the garden 🌸🍁

The baby room has been embracing a wonderful garden-themed focus, giving the children plenty of opportunities to explore and connect with the natural world.

As part of our Earth Day celebrations, the babies enjoyed a range of sensory-rich experiences that encouraged curiosity and discovery. They picked flowers to explore their colours, textures, and scents, while also using natural materials in creative activities such as painting with leaves and flowers.

These experiences have nurtured the children's appreciation of nature while fostering creativity, exploration, and sensory development.

🌎 Earth Day 🌍

Our Tweenies had the best time celebrating Earth Day yesterday 💚

From getting their hands messy with planting and painting activities to learning about recycling and caring for our planet, it was a day full of fun and discovery. 🤩

Moments like these are so important because they help our little ones understand, from an early age, how to look after the world around them. By teaching them simple habits now, like reducing waste, reusing materials, and appreciating nature, we’re helping to grow a generation that cares deeply about our planet 🌍

Wow, just wow. What a fantastic start to our Easter holidays🐰

Our children across the nursery have been incredibly busy enjoying a wonderful mix of activities, games, walks, Easter bonnet making and parade, scrummy cooking and park visits. Every day has been filled with fun, laughter, and learning.

And today was truly the icing on the cake, or should we say, the chocolate on the egg! 🍫🥚

The Easter Bunny paid us a very special visit. He was so kind, leaving eggs for all the children and our amazing aunties, but the real excitement came when he stayed to play and join in the fun 🤩

Moments like these make such magical memories for our little ones. 💕

We have been delighted to see our Tweenies fully engaged in a range of Easter-themed activities. The children took part in every stage of the process, from preparing and baking to carefully decorating their delicious bunny-shaped cookies. 🍪 🎨

They also enjoyed a fun matching activity, pairing egg tops with their corresponding bottoms, which supported their problem-solving skills. In addition, the children enthusiastically participated in physical activities hidden inside the eggs, promoting movement and coordination while having lots of fun. 🤩 ✨

🍀 St Patrick’s Day Fun ☘️

The children had a fantastic St Patrick’s Day filled with laughter, creativity, and plenty of exciting activities. From colourful crafts to lively games, everyone embraced the festive spirit and had lots of fun celebrating together. 🙌

There was great excitement throughout the day as the children kept a close eye out for the cheeky leprechaun, who we’re sure had been up to mischief when no one was looking👀

It was a joyful day full of smiles, imagination, and a little bit of magic.✨

Today we celebrate the women who support, nurture, and love our little ones every single day. Like motherhood itself, every day brings new moments of patience, resilience, learning and joy. 🥹

To all the mums, step-mums, grandmas, aunties, mentors and mother figures in our community, thank you for the love and care you give so generously. 💕

We would also like to give a special mention to our incredible “Amazing Aunties”, our wonderful staff. To those who are amazing mammies, those who are soon to become mammies, and those who carry the memory of babies they have loved and lost, we see you, we appreciate you, and we thank you for the kindness, warmth and dedication you bring to our nursery family every day. 🤗
