Our latest sensory purchases include a black out tent and disco lights. These have been a huge hit for the children this afternoon.
We’re on the lookout for some extra pieces to grow our collection which will create a stimulating or calming environment depending on the need at the time 🫶

Kids love cardboard boxes because they offer endless open-ended imagination, a cozy sense of security, and total control over their play. Unlike traditional toys that have a single fixed purpose, a simple box can transform into a spaceship, car, or secret den….. but first you must decorate it! 🎨

Afterwards we went to the park for a quick run around before coming back for lunch and nap time 💤 for the little ones.

The older children continued their arts & crafts, painting by numbers and had lots of fun in the garden 🪴

☀️First day of the summer holidays ☀️
We’ve been out for lunch, had a little walk around the village, looked in the charity shops and now we’re back home to play football in the garden 🫶

We decided to have our lunch in a nice air con filled Italian restaurant 😘☀️

Going to a restaurant provides a rich, real-world learning environment for children. It builds independence by giving them practice in reading menus, communicating politely with servers, and managing personal space. It also teaches self-regulation, patience while waiting, and basic table manners in a public setting.
