Wow Wow Wow what an amazing day today , how lovely yo see so many people join us for a glass workshop … it was fun , atmosphere was brilliant people laughing talking communicating with each other and then sharing food amazing and thank you all for supporting us 💕💕💕

BBQ day tomorrow!! Free beef burger, hotdog with buffets!!

We also have some activities!! Gardener day for children & water colouring for adults.

Don't matter if you're deaf, hard of hearing or hearing. Everyone is more welcome to come along!!

What's happening this week at Swansea Centre for Deaf People, Swansea, SA1 2HW with thanks to Coast Grant from Swansea Council

Wednesday 5th August 2026
Adult Crafts - Copperfoil Stained Glass. Start 10am till 2pm. Cost £20
Children - Clyne Garden, SA3 5BW. Explore the natural. Meet at car park at 10:30am till 1:30pm. Packed lunch provide but need PRE-ORDER your child/ren by Tuesday which will be freshly made on the day.

Thursday 6th August 2026 - BBQ Day!! FREE Burger & Hot-dog with buffet!!
Adult Crafts - Water colouring Arts. Start 10am till 2pm. Cost £10
Children - Gardener paint pot, soil plant your flowers to take home for your little one to watch it grow! Have Lego, UNO, colouring, games

You do not need to book, just pop in! with exception of Copperfoil Stained Glass, there is only 10 places, just message us to let us know

This week for adults crafts at Swansea Deaf Centre,

29th July Wednesday - Needle Felting
30th July Thursday - Weaving using wool, other yarns and cardboards.

Don't forget lunch is free with crafts sessions.

if you don't fancy crafts but would like to pop in to our cafe to have some food, cupcakes or cuppa, there is a price list for this, you are more than welcome to come in!

Pay in cash when you arrive, we do accept bank transfers if you prefer to do it that way.

Wednesday 29th July - Aberavon Beach!! 🏖️🕶️ Don't forget to pre order child/ren Packed Lunch!!📍Meet point by Aberavon Aqua Splash & Remos at 10.30am to collect your child/ren lunch. You can stay all day if you like ☺️

Thursday 30th July at Swansea Centre for Deaf People - Craft Weaving with wool & cardboard or Clay to your preference. LEGO, soft play, games & Netflix film!!

All activities are from 10am till 2pm.

Talking Hands has been successful secure a Funding Grant for Summer 2026!

Will be runs every Wednesday outdoor activies and Thursday at Swansea Centre for the Deaf weekly from 22nd July till 27th August. Run from 10am till 2pm. Only Bikeability at 11:30am which need to be contact Helen or Dani to book your place!

We've been attend our first day yesterday, at Waterfront Museum hosting by Community Fun Day which we all enjoyed!

FREE Sandwich package lunch will be provide as part of Grant. Please pre-order your child/ren lunch on Tuesday for Wednesday outdoor. This will be made fresh on the day. Thursday can order at our café as normal.

Sandwich - Cheese, Ham or Chocolate spread?
Fruit - Banana, Apple and Orange?
Drink - Blackcurrants juice, Orange juice or Apple juice?
Crisps - various flavour

Please note - 12th and 13th August off as we're having a break over summer holiday. Also Bikeability at 11:30am this will need to be booked your place to avoid disappointment. Contact us through Messager or Email - [email protected]
