Happy Learners is run by myself Zoe, a former primary school teacher with over 17 years experience teaching primary age children, including those with additional learning needs. I live in Swansea, South Wales with my husband Paul and our 10-year-old twin daughters Annabel & Amber. I left my much-loved job as a Nursery/Reception class teacher in July 2016, so that I could spend more time at home wi
th my family and to help my husband Paul with his teaching resource website www.primarytreasurechest.com. Since leaving teaching I thoroughly enjoyed spending more time at home with my family, however I really missed the setting up and planning of fun learning experiences for children to enjoy and learn from. After undertaking a Social Media for Business Diploma in Pitman’s in Swansea in March 2017, initially to provide me with the skills needed to help my husband with his teaching resource website; I found it provided me with the stimuli and skills to start thinking about turning my love for creating ‘Learning Through Play’ activities into a little business for both children and adults to learn together. I have always believed in the importance of children feeling happy and motivated in order to learn, and that’s how I came up with the name ‘Happy Learners’. My aim is for both children and adults to enjoy the ‘Learning Through Play Sessions’ and therefore become ‘Happy Learners’!
