First aid classes and qualification courses across South Wales including Swansea, Neath Port Talbot, Bridgend, Rhondda Cynon Taf, The Vale of Glamorgan, Caerphilly & surrounding areas. We are the franchise owners of Mini First Aid Swansea, The Vale & Valleys. We offer a range of first aid classes including a 2 hour baby and child first aid awareness class, children's classes (suitable from age 3 u
pwards) as well as accredited and certified qualification courses. Our Multi Award winning classes are delivered in a relaxed and comfortable style and give you confidence to know what actions to take if faced with a medical emergency. We are both GPs in the local area as well as parents to a little girl who has recently turned one. As parents we understand some of the worries you might be going through with your own little ones. We both love teaching and would love to be able to share our knowledge and experience with you at our first aid classes. We had a lovely Baby & Child First Aid class today at Bryngarw Country Park! 💚
During the session, we covered a range of essential first aid topics, including CPR, choking, burns, and bleeding. We’re also excited to have recently added allergies and anaphylaxis to our course, ensuring parents and carers feel even more confident in dealing with emergencies.
Four years on, we still absolutely love running our small business. Meeting such wonderful families and helping to build their confidence is the best part of what we do. Thank you to everyone who joined us today!

Did you know we teach our award-winning 2 hour Baby & Child First Aid classes at the brand-new Visitor Centre at Gnoll Country Park, Neath?
It’s a fantastic, modern venue (with air conditioning, which was very welcome in today’s weather! ☀️❄️).
Every parent, grandparent and carer deserves the confidence to know what to do in an emergency. Our classes are friendly, practical and full of lifesaving skills.
☀️ As tempting as it may be to run straight under a hosepipe in this warm weather, please check the temperature of the water first.
Hosepipes left in the sun can become surprisingly hot, especially in south-facing gardens, conservatories, patios and other areas exposed to direct sunlight. Water sitting inside the hose can heat up enough to cause burns, particularly to babies and young children whose skin is much more sensitive.
Before using a hosepipe for play, gardening or cooling down:💧 Run the water for a few moments first💧 Test the temperature carefully with your hand💧 Never assume the water will be cool
A quick check can help prevent painful injuries and keep everyone safe while enjoying the sunshine.

“It’s just a bit hot outside 🥵…”
In a heatwave, it’s worth knowing the signs of heat exhaustion and heatstroke and what to do if someone becomes unwell.
Help reduce the risk by staying hydrated, keeping out of the sun and heat during the hottest parts of the day, wearing loose, light-coloured clothing, and taking it easy when temperatures are high.
Check in on anyone who may be more vulnerable, including babies, young children, older people and those with long-term health conditions.

☀️ Sun Safety Week ☀️
It may not be so sunny where you are today, but don’t forget that even on cloudy days UV levels can still be strong ☁️☀️
Whether they’re playing in the garden, at the park, or enjoying a day at the beach, helping children stay safe in the sun now can protect their skin for years to come.
Top sun safety reminders:
👒 Cover up with hats and lightweight clothing
🌳 Seek shade, especially between 11am–3pm
🕶️ Wear UV-protective sunglasses
🧴 Apply and reapply sunscreen regularly
☀️ Check the UV index before heading out
Babies under 6 months should be kept out of direct sunlight wherever possible, using shade and protective clothing.

We’ve had some lovely baby and child classes recently, and it’s been wonderful to meet so many parents, grandparents, and carers along the way.
It’s also been fantastic to see so many class leaders joining our sessions to refresh their first aid skills - helping to ensure your little ones are always in safe hands. 💛
