☀️ Sun Safety Week ☀️

It may not be so sunny where you are today, but don’t forget that even on cloudy days UV levels can still be strong ☁️☀️

Whether they’re playing in the garden, at the park, or enjoying a day at the beach, helping children stay safe in the sun now can protect their skin for years to come.

Top sun safety reminders:
👒 Cover up with hats and lightweight clothing
🌳 Seek shade, especially between 11am–3pm
🕶️ Wear UV-protective sunglasses
🧴 Apply and reapply sunscreen regularly
☀️ Check the UV index before heading out

Babies under 6 months should be kept out of direct sunlight wherever possible, using shade and protective clothing.

💚 Our upcoming 2 hour baby & child first aid classes in May 💚

Would you like to learn how to deal with an emergency involving a baby or child? Why not book onto an upcoming baby and child first aid class?

- Our classes are relaxed and informal and babies under 1 are more than welcome to come along with you. Feeding/changing is also not a problem!

- Our classes are healthcare professional led and in 2 hours you will learn about CPR, choking, burns, bleeding, bumps to the head, febrile seizures, meningitis & sepsis awareness and more!

- You'll have the opportunity to practice your skills on the baby & child manikins and you will take home a Mini First Aid booklet covering all the key points.

- The cost is £30 per person. We keep groups small and informal so booking is essential as places are limited.
