🍂 Autumn/Hydref is well underway! 🍂

We headed outside to collect lots of beautiful autumn leaves, which we then used to create our very own autumn dream catchers. The children painted paper plates, cut out the middle and used tape to secure their leaves, creating some lovely, colourful decorations. 🎨🍂

We also got crafty making some crazy scarecrows using paper plates, fabric and wool. Each one was completely unique and full of personality! 👩‍🌾

Our autumn-themed tuff trays were a big hit! One was filled with leaves, mini pumpkins, conkers and acorns, along with catcher scissor tongs to encourage the children to practise their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and control. 🌰🎃

In another tray, we created an exciting frozen autumn activity. Leaves, conkers and acorns were frozen into blocks of ice, and, under strict adult supervision, the children used hammers to carefully break the ice and discover the hidden autumn treasures inside! 🧊🍁

We also worked on our pen control, following different dotted lines, and used our fingers to paint colourful leaves onto an autumn tree. 🖍️🍂

Alongside our autumn activities, we enjoyed plenty of opportunities for active play and imaginative learning, including:

🧘 Yoga – stretching, moving and getting flexible.
📦 Construction play – building towers with cardboard boxes and using half gutter pipes to create shoots for ping-pong balls to roll down.
🚂 Train track building – creating some HUGE tracks and exploring where our trains could travel!
🎭 Outdoor play and role play – enjoying games, exploring our play areas and using our imaginations.
🐞 Leaf bugs – on Friday, we got creative again and made some adorable little leaf bugs using card bug faces, pipe cleaners and real autumn leaves. 🍁🐛

It has been a busy and creative week full of exploring, experimenting, creating and having fun together! We love seeing the children’s imaginations and curiosity shine through in everything they do. ❤️

🍂 Our Final Week of ‘All About Me’! 🍂

What a lovely final week of our ‘All About Me’
It has been wonderful seeing everyone settle in so well, make new friendships and enjoy getting to know one another. 💛

This week, we explored Parts of the Body with a fun worksheet activity, where the children were encouraged to match the correct body-part names to the pictures. 🧍‍♀️🧍‍♂️

We made the most of the outdoors too! The children practised their balance and coordination on the balance bikes, went on a minibeast hunt at our minibeast table, enjoyed games with hoops, and got creative in our construction area. We also had lots of fun building with blocks in the tuff tray. 🚲🐞🏗️

Our other activities included:

✨ Messy play with shaving foam and building blocks
🍁 Loose parts play, decorating leaf outlines with colourful beads
🎨 Matching coloured bottle tops to cake cases
🧩 Lots of opportunities for building, exploring and developing our fine motor skills through play

It has been such a lovely few weeks getting to know all of our little ones and celebrating what makes each of them unique and special. 🌈💕

Next week, we are excited to begin our Autumn theme, with lots of seasonal exploring, creativity and fun! 🍂🍁

🌈 All About Me! 🌈
We’ve continued with our “All About Me” theme this week as we get to know all of our little ones and celebrate what makes each of them unique.
💕 It has been lovely to see everyone settling in so well and becoming more confident in their surroundings!

🎨 Our Crayon Door Display
We’ve made a start on our colourful door display, inspired by the lovely quote:
“We are a box of crayons, each of us unique, but when we get together, the picture is complete.” 🌈
Each child had their very own crayon to decorate, creating a self-portrait and choosing their favourite colour. We can’t wait to see our colourful display come together!

🖌️ Big Table Art!
We got creative with some giant-scale artwork, using the back of wallpaper as our canvas. The children enjoyed drawing themselves and exploring lots of different types of mark making. Their fantastic artwork is now proudly displayed outside on our fence for everyone to see! 🎨

👩‍🎨 Our Self-Portrait Gallery
Using paper plates, wool and paper, the children created their own unique self-portraits. Each masterpiece was labelled with their name and is now proudly displayed on our very own Art Gallery Wall! 🖼️✨

We also had lots of fun exploring: 💦 Splashing and pouring in the water tray

🌟 Welcome Back, Everyone! 🌟

It has been lovely welcoming everyone back after the summer holidays, meeting our new little ones and hearing all about everyone’s summer adventures! ☀️

Over the next couple of weeks, our theme will be “All About Me!” — giving us the opportunity to get to know your little ones even better and celebrate what makes each of them unique. 💛

This week, everyone had the choice of creating an “All About Me” butterfly or football, answering questions such as their name, age, favourite things to play and things they like. Once completed, these were proudly added to their personal books! 📚🦋⚽

We enjoyed a wonderful variety of activities, including:
🎨 Water and sand play
🧸 Playdough
🚗 Cars and imaginative play
☕ Role play in our café
🖌️ Creating beautiful paintings

Our outdoor adventures included using the giant chalks to create colourful murals on the walls, as well as getting creative in the mud kitchen and making some fantastic mud pies! 🪣🌈

🥜 A Polite Reminder – Nut-Free Setting 🚫

Our setting is a strictly nut-free environment. Due to severe, life-threatening allergies among some of our children and staff, we do not allow nuts or products containing nuts to be brought onto the premises.

We kindly ask that all parents and carers continue to check lunch boxes and snacks carefully to help us maintain a safe environment for everyone. Thank you for your understanding and support. 💛

🧊 Lunch Boxes & Ice Packs

Could we also please ask that you provide an ice pack in your child’s lunch box to help keep their food cool and fresh throughout the day.

Why are ice packs important?

- 🦠 Helps prevent bacteria growth: Harmful bacteria can multiply quickly when food is left in the temperature danger zone of approximately 4°C–60°C.
- 🥪 Keeps perishable foods safe: Items such as meat, poultry, dairy, eggs and mayonnaise need to remain chilled.
- 🛡️ Reduces the risk of food poisoning: Keeping lunch boxes cool helps protect food from spoiling and keeps it safer to eat.

🎉 Our Final Week of Holiday Club! 🎉
Wc 17/8/26 to 21/8/26

And just like that… our final week is complete! What an amazing summer it has been! We’ve had an absolute blast caring for your little ones, making memories, playing games, getting creative, using imaginations, making new friends and, of course, sharing lots of laughs along the way! 💛

We’ve been busy making sensory slime, adding glitter, foam balls and food colouring to create some wonderfully squishy fun! ✨ We also enjoyed some classic game favourites, including Musical Statues, Frustration, jigsaw puzzles and UNO.

The glorious sunshine gave us plenty of opportunities for outdoor adventures too! ☀️ We enjoyed climbing, sliding, riding bikes and scooters, and getting involved in lots of fun ball games.

Our creative side came out with some fantastic activities! Using plastic cups, straws and gloves, we made our very own pop-up characters. We also created adorable little butterflies using paper, pencils and straws — then came the fun part… blowing through the straws and watching our butterflies take flight! 🦋💨

It’s been such a pleasure spending the summer with your little ones, and we hope they’ve had as much fun as we have! ❤️

Thank you for another fantastic Holiday Club! We hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the summer holidays, filled with sunshine, fun and plenty of adventures! 🌞🌈

A Special Goodbye ❤️
This week, we said a very special goodbye to one of our very first Wraparounders. She joined us when she was just 3 years old, and it has been such a pleasure watching her grow, learn and flourish over the years.

Now, she is ready to begin an exciting new chapter as she heads off to Year 7! 🎓✨

We are so proud of you and wish you every happiness and success on this next adventure. You will be missed so much by everyone here at Wraparound, but we hope you’ll come back to visit us!

Holiday club - Week 3
Wc 10/8/26 to 14/8/26

We’re absolutely loving this beautiful weather, and it would be silly not to make the most of it! ☀️

Once everyone arrived, we headed outside for a fun-filled day of freedom, imagination and plenty of activities to choose from. There was something for everyone!

We enjoyed strolling around the outdoor path on our balance bikes and scooters, bouncing around on the hoppers and conquering the climbing frame and slide. 🛴🛝

Our activities included a new lock-and-counting game, magical painting using pipettes, cotton pads and watered-down paint, imaginative role play with figures and playsets, and plenty of building in our construction area. We even baked some delicious-looking pies in the mud kitchen! 🧁🎨

There was time for relaxing picnics, table football, ball games and, of course, some fabulous glitter tattoos to add a little sparkle to the day! ✨

Another fun week completed 😊

Holiday Club - Week 2
Wc 3/8/26 to 7/8/26

🌈 Week 2 of Holiday Club – Fun, Freedom & Creativity! 🌈

What another fantastic week at Holiday Club! Our second week is now complete, and we’ve enjoyed another action-packed week filled with creativity, imagination, exploration and lots of fun! 💛

This week was all about freedom to choose, being ourselves and having fun. The children had plenty of opportunities to follow their own interests, make choices and let their imaginations run wild.

Lights, Camera… Fashion Show!
Things got very creative using a selection of fabrics, the children designed and created their own dresses, skirts and headpieces. There were some amazing designs, and everyone looked absolutely fabulous! ✨

Outside, we made the most of our fantastic outdoor spaces. The slide and climbing area were very popular, while the bikes and scooters came out for plenty of zooming around! 🛴🚲

We also got creative with stones and shells. First, we washed them and left them to dry before decorating them with colourful Sharpie pens. 🎨🐚

We spent lots of time exploring our woodland area too. There were games of hide and seek, tree climbing and plenty of opportunities to investigate the natural world around us. 🐛🕷️🔍

What a wonderful second week! 🌟 So much choice, creativity, imagination, exploration and, most importantly, FUN! We can’t wait to see what adventures next week brings! 💕

Holiday Club - Week 1
Wc 27/7/26 to 31/7/26

We had a fantastic start to our Summer Holiday Club, and with the bonus of beautiful sunshine, we made the most of every minute outdoors!

The children loved exploring our wonderful outdoor spaces. They enjoyed running and playing ball games on the top field, playing exciting games of hide-and-seek in the woodland area, and having lots of fun in the nursery play area, where the fireman's pole and slide were a big hit.
The bikes were also out, with the children happily following the road and enjoying plenty of active play.

One of the week's most exciting discoveries was that really soapy hands can create bubbles using just your fingers by making an "👌" shape! Everyone was eager to have a go, and there were lots of smiles and laughter as bubbles filled the air.

It was also wonderful to see some of the children achieve a new milestone by learning to climb down the fireman's pole independently. They were incredibly proud of themselves, and their excitement and confidence shone through.
We finished our busy days with outdoor picnics, lots of giggles piling up on the slide, and plenty of adventures exploring the different play areas. It has been a brilliant first week, full of fun, friendships, new skills, and happy memories.
We can't wait to see what the rest of the summer has in store!

Tiddlers, Wraparound & Afterschool Club
Wc 13/7/26 to 17/7/26

We made the most of the beautiful sunshine by spending lots of time enjoying our outdoor play area! The children had great fun exploring our musical instruments, using tweezers to sort colourful pom-poms into baking trays, creating with building blocks, and challenging themselves with exciting obstacle courses using stepping stones, gutter pipes and cars.
We also became little explorers on a mini-beast hunt, discovering lots of fascinating creepy crawlies along the way! Of course, no sunny day would be complete without enjoying a delicious picnic together on our colourful parachute. 🌈🐞🎶

This week has also been an emotional one as we said goodbye to our wonderful Year 6 leavers. It has been a privilege to watch many of you grow, with some children having been part of our Hendrefoilan Wraparound family since nursery. We are so proud of each and every one of you and wish you all the very best as you begin your exciting Year 7 journey. Have an amazing summer—you've earned it! 💜

A huge thank you to all of our families for your thoughtful and generous gifts. Your kindness and support mean so much to us and are truly appreciated. ❤️

Finally, we would like to wish all of our children and families a wonderful, safe and relaxing summer holiday. We hope it's filled with sunshine, laughter, adventure and lots of special memories. We can't wait to see you all again soon! ☀️🌻
