Holiday club - Week 3
Wc 10/8/26 to 14/8/26

We’re absolutely loving this beautiful weather, and it would be silly not to make the most of it! β˜€οΈ

Once everyone arrived, we headed outside for a fun-filled day of freedom, imagination and plenty of activities to choose from. There was something for everyone!

We enjoyed strolling around the outdoor path on our balance bikes and scooters, bouncing around on the hoppers and conquering the climbing frame and slide. πŸ›΄πŸ›

Our activities included a new lock-and-counting game, magical painting using pipettes, cotton pads and watered-down paint, imaginative role play with figures and playsets, and plenty of building in our construction area. We even baked some delicious-looking pies in the mud kitchen! 🧁🎨

There was time for relaxing picnics, table football, ball games and, of course, some fabulous glitter tattoos to add a little sparkle to the day! ✨

Another fun week completed 😊

Holiday Club - Week 2
Wc 3/8/26 to 7/8/26

🌈 Week 2 of Holiday Club – Fun, Freedom & Creativity! 🌈

What another fantastic week at Holiday Club! Our second week is now complete, and we’ve enjoyed another action-packed week filled with creativity, imagination, exploration and lots of fun! πŸ’›

This week was all about freedom to choose, being ourselves and having fun. The children had plenty of opportunities to follow their own interests, make choices and let their imaginations run wild.

Lights, Camera… Fashion Show!
Things got very creative using a selection of fabrics, the children designed and created their own dresses, skirts and headpieces. There were some amazing designs, and everyone looked absolutely fabulous! ✨

Outside, we made the most of our fantastic outdoor spaces. The slide and climbing area were very popular, while the bikes and scooters came out for plenty of zooming around! πŸ›΄πŸš²

We also got creative with stones and shells. First, we washed them and left them to dry before decorating them with colourful Sharpie pens. 🎨🐚

We spent lots of time exploring our woodland area too. There were games of hide and seek, tree climbing and plenty of opportunities to investigate the natural world around us. πŸ›πŸ•·οΈπŸ”

What a wonderful second week! 🌟 So much choice, creativity, imagination, exploration and, most importantly, FUN! We can’t wait to see what adventures next week brings! πŸ’•

Holiday Club - Week 1
Wc 27/7/26 to 31/7/26

We had a fantastic start to our Summer Holiday Club, and with the bonus of beautiful sunshine, we made the most of every minute outdoors!

The children loved exploring our wonderful outdoor spaces. They enjoyed running and playing ball games on the top field, playing exciting games of hide-and-seek in the woodland area, and having lots of fun in the nursery play area, where the fireman's pole and slide were a big hit.
The bikes were also out, with the children happily following the road and enjoying plenty of active play.

One of the week's most exciting discoveries was that really soapy hands can create bubbles using just your fingers by making an "πŸ‘Œ" shape! Everyone was eager to have a go, and there were lots of smiles and laughter as bubbles filled the air.

It was also wonderful to see some of the children achieve a new milestone by learning to climb down the fireman's pole independently. They were incredibly proud of themselves, and their excitement and confidence shone through.
We finished our busy days with outdoor picnics, lots of giggles piling up on the slide, and plenty of adventures exploring the different play areas. It has been a brilliant first week, full of fun, friendships, new skills, and happy memories.
We can't wait to see what the rest of the summer has in store!

We made the most of the beautiful sunshine by spending lots of time enjoying our outdoor play area! The children had great fun exploring our musical instruments, using tweezers to sort colourful pom-poms into baking trays, creating with building blocks, and challenging themselves with exciting obstacle courses using stepping stones, gutter pipes and cars.
We also became little explorers on a mini-beast hunt, discovering lots of fascinating creepy crawlies along the way! Of course, no sunny day would be complete without enjoying a delicious picnic together on our colourful parachute. 🌈🐞🎢

This week has also been an emotional one as we said goodbye to our wonderful Year 6 leavers. It has been a privilege to watch many of you grow, with some children having been part of our Hendrefoilan Wraparound family since nursery. We are so proud of each and every one of you and wish you all the very best as you begin your exciting Year 7 journey. Have an amazing summerβ€”you've earned it! πŸ’œ

A huge thank you to all of our families for your thoughtful and generous gifts. Your kindness and support mean so much to us and are truly appreciated. ❀️

Finally, we would like to wish all of our children and families a wonderful, safe and relaxing summer holiday. We hope it's filled with sunshine, laughter, adventure and lots of special memories. We can't wait to see you all again soon! β˜€οΈπŸŒ»

What a fantastic sunny week!
We made the most of the beautiful weather, enjoying both the glorious sunshine and the cool shade in our outdoor play area.

Our tuff trays were full of exciting activities, including building blocks, train tracks, cars, and a colourful sensory play station with coloured rice, bowls, cake tins, and spoons. These hands-on experiences encouraged the children to explore, create, and develop their fine motor skills while having lots of fun.

We enjoyed a healthy snack picnics before heading off for imaginative adventures in the construction area and mud kitchen, where the children's creativity really came to life. To keep everyone cool, we even transformed our bright, colourful parachute into a giant umbrella, creating the perfect shady spot for more outdoor fun!

One of the highlights of the day was watching the children become little engineers. Using their own wonderful ideas, they turned gutter pipes into exciting car ramps, experimenting by placing them at different heights and angles. They eagerly tested how fast or slow their cars travelled, making predictions, solving problems, and learning through play.

It was a week filled with laughter, imagination, teamwork, and lots of sunshine! 😊

This week we worked on our letter/sound recognition & formation. We traced the alphabet and said the sound. With the younger ones, we looked at pictures, said the sound and tried matching the correct letter πŸ‘

We enjoyed story time with Bev and a book called 'Finn's Little Fibs'. A story about a little boy who told a fib and a blob popped up, once he told the truth the blobs popped and disappeared. A really good story to encourage children not to tell fibs πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘Œ

Outside we played with cars, racing them down the gutter pipes, sensory play with shaving foam, cooking in the mud kitchen chopping up herbs and building works started in the construction area.

We built big train tracks, role played in the farm tuff tray, sorted coloured pompoms using tweezers & splashed in the water tray.

All in all a good week, developing lots of skills through play! πŸ˜„

Wow what a hot week that was! Firstly thank you for your continued support, especially on Wednesday and Thursday, where we had to close due to the extreme weather. Safety of our children & staff is our top priority!

During the week we set up fun activities but also encourage free play, the freedom to choose, therefore there was alot of planning in the moment 😊

We spent alot of time outside, thankful that our play area has alot of shade!
There was role playing in the mud kitchen, splashing in the water tray, duplo blocks in the pop up tent, fun races with cars and the gutter pipes, digging in the sand pit & zooming on the little bikes.

We played hoop games and simon says, had lots of fun with the bubble machine and created some fab pictures. We practiced letter formation on the chalkboards and everyone loved bouncing around on the space hoppers 😊

Hope you all had a great, cooler weekend πŸ˜„

Staying around the sea theme this week was all about Pirates and the sea Arrrrrr! πŸ΄β€β˜ οΈ

We played some classic games like fishing, using magnets to hook the fish!, pirate pete was a fun game everyone enjoyed playing. Though some needed guidance as to why pirate pete was not popping up, he wouldnt while being held down to put the sword in haha

We hope all Dads had a wonderful Fathers day! You deserved it πŸ‘Œ we also hope you liked your special message in a bottle!
Everyone completed a 'My Daddy' worksheet, giving fun details about their Dad. These went into their personal books.

In the tuff tray the pirate ship ran aground on a deserted island, sharks circled around! & treasure spilt everywhere, everyone took turns digging through the sand to reclaim the treasure! Developing those fine motor skills as they went 😊

We enjoyed playing with playdough, using our pirate playmats to make some eyepatches for the pirates. We practiced some maths on the tablets, counting fish and matching numbers & we played a colour game using 4 hoola hoops. Children were asked 'Can you find me something purple?' Theyd go look and then place that item in the correct hoop. Simple but fun and the children were super chuffed!

**This week will be another hot one! Please make sure you send your child in with labelled suncream and a labelled hat!
We will provide plenty of water throughout the day**

Thank you for your continued support 😊
