The Rock Project Encore Swansea, Cardiff, Llanelli and Carmarthenshire

Our Cardiff adults group rehearsing last night. A popular rocker 🤘🤘

At the moment, we are short on which may be why this has come up on your wall. However, there is also space on

All these guys started with us, either because they wanted to learn an instrument from scratch or because they played already but wanted to get confidence and recognise that maybe playing in a band with others with no pressure on the professional stage yet could help. What can I say? – they keep coming back 🤣🤣🤣

For me it started with hearing somebody else play and realising that it was possible and then knowing that there was an old battered acoustic in the house and being really inspired by the likes of Nirvana, AC/DC and Oasis in the mid 90s so decided to give it a go.

Best decision of my life, coupled with the Joy that I see of children in the Rock Project being inspired in the same way.

This one is from a couple of weeks ago, rehearsing Fool for your loving by Whitesnake. Great fun song.

To get to this stage, the group has had a 30 minute instrument lesson and this is probably the third jump through of it although there will be many more over the coming weeks before they then go onto gig it in February.

Too many of them, but I think the first ones that spring to mine that inspired me were Queen – One vision and AC/DC – Highway to hell.

Lovely to see another group of former Rock Project students (3 or them anyway) getting out there doing it themselves.

One of our Swansea bands rehearsing this tune this last week. Sounding awesome guys.

The Rock Project has kids groups across South Wales, but we also work with adults.

Some come along as completely beginners while others are more advanced in the playing craft already and want to gain more confidence playing as a band but aren’t yet happy enough to go to
