All our instructors are qualified and have suitable insurance, advanced DBS certificates, 1st aid and child protection awareness training. Welcome to Swansea Karate Academy, we are a well established karate club with a new name, we practice traditional karate with a slightly modern approach. (Welsh Karate Alliance), our chief instructor is Sensei Gerwyn Harries 5th Dan. We are proud members of the national governing body for Wales karate, W.K.G.B.

Between us picking up a Bronze, Maddy Loveridge and a Gold for Yusuf. Another improvement under the leadership of president Gabby Harris with us finishing in 8th place.

WKGB Children & Youth 2024.
On Saturday we, The Welsh Karate Alliance, attended the WKGB children and Youth competition in Llantrisant. Our very young team was made up of members from our Invictus Karate club and Swansea Karate Academy. For many of our competitors it was their 1st time to compete and many others only their 2nd time. It turned out to be a fantastic day for us all winning 7 Gold Medals 🥇 2 Silver medals 🥈 and 4 Bronze medals🥉. Our squad really enjoyed their day and can’t wait for the next competition.
A massive thank you to Gerwyn Harries, Tom Evans and Gabby Harris for coaching. Huge congratulations to Sophie Jones and Lee Bradley on their promotions to WKGB Judge 👏🏻👏🏻
