Great effort from our Year 4/5 boys today at a cluster tournament at Underhill. Some brilliant football played, and battling results! We are very proud of their efforts, particularly without our Year 6s in attendance, on residential. Da iawn to all involved, and thank you to our wonderful parent helper coaches, and Miss Cook, for supporting the team all the way!

Miss Cridland’s class had great fun in the sun this week! They went on a hunt for Welsh sound buttons, listened carefully to the descriptions of the characters and then drew them. What a great way to learn new Welsh words! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Bendigedig!

What a fantastic day for Land Phase at Pennard Castle! We found out all about how the castle fell to ruin from a real life fairy, before heading down to Pennard Pill for some fun games and woodland crafts. Thank you to everyone who helped make it happen!

Da iawn to Green House, sporting yellow bibs, who won today’s Bish Games netball tournament in Sky Phase! They defeated Blue House in an excellent final match, with their 12 points helping them to extend their lead at the top of our Bish Games points table. Over to Mountain Phase and their netball finals this Friday! Looking forward to many more sports and tournaments after the Easter break!

Sky Phase have enjoyed their visits to art gallery over the last two weeks. What better way to finish our project on art than a portrait workshop 🙂🖌️The pupils were so excited to see a Hepworth sculpture in real life, they have thoroughly enjoyed learning about art in all its forms!

What a wonderful STEM careers fair for Y5 pupils last Friday! Our pupils were so inspired by the visitors who came to talk about their jobs and answer questions prepared by the children. Diolch to our volunteers, who were made up of parents and wider community members.

Sky Phase have been using David Hockney’s iPad art as an inspiration, last week we used the wonderful Tate Gallery’s online software to try and recreate Van Gough’s ‘Starry Night’. We are also using this image to inspire our creative writing too!

Last week we witnessed the conclusion of an excellent Bish Games football tournament in Mountain Phase. Lovely to see so many children joining in and representing their houses - some playing football for the very first time! Green House picked up the maximum of 12 points following a victory against Yellow House in the final…however, da iawn to all who took part! Looking forward to the netball tournament, which begins this week!
