๐๐ Happy International Day of Play! ๐๐
Last Thursday, we celebrate something incredibly important โ PLAY.
Through play, children explore their surroundings, forge friendships, solve problems, build confidence, and express their creativity. Whether they are running, constructing, imagining, creating, or discovering, every playful moment serves as an opportunity for learning โฅ๏ธ

Last week we took part in Healthy Eating week!
Did you know that healthy eating and physical activity patterns established during childhood and early years provide an important foundation for a childโs future health and wellbeing?
The Welsh Government Guidelines for Food & Nutrition in Childcare settings reports practicing healthy habits early on can have a positive influence on how children develop, grow and learn throughout their entire lives.
At Trusting Hands we believe as a childcare setting we play a key role in providing high quality and nutritious food for the children in our care.
We have completed our Healthy Pre-School scheme award and Gold Snack Award plus.

World Turtle Day - 23rd May 2026
Today, Tanyaโs (Our Team Leader for our over 2's room) daughter, Ella, visited the Nursery to give a talk on turtles in celebration of World Turtle Day. Ella has been travelling the globe and shared numerous fascinating stories with the children about the turtles she encountered while swimming in the sea!
We engaged in many enjoyable activities with Ella that were themed around turtles.
Thank you, Ella, for generously sharing your time with us! x

Yesterday, we celebrated World Cultural and Diversity Day ๐ The children took part in enjoyable activities that allowed them to explore the diverse cultures from around the globe and appreciate what makes each of us unique. They engaged in discussions about their appearances, including different skin tones, hair types, and various elements that represent their identities. At Trusting Hands, we aim to promote and incorporate the celebration of culture and diversity into our daily practice. This commitment ensures that every child feels a sense of belonging in the Nursery, as we strive to represent them and their cultures โค๏ธ
