Today was all about building strong foundations through consultation, health and safety, nail preparation and practical, hands-on learning.

Watching everyone's confidence grow throughout the day has been incredible. Every student worked so hard, supported one another and showed a real willingness to learn.

I'm so proud of every single one of them and can't wait to see what they achieve on Day 2 tomorrow. ✨

Brow Lamination Training Day ✨

Congratulations to Kirsty on successfully completing her Brow Lamination course. 🎓

Brow lamination is much more than simply applying products.
During training, students learn consultation techniques, brow mapping, product application, timing, client safety, aftercare, and how to create beautifully structured brows.

At Educ8 Beauty, every course combines theory with hands-on practical training in a real salon environment.

❌ MYTH BUSTER MONDAY — MYTH #1

Do natural nails need to “breathe” between appointments? 💅

It's something many of us have heard over the years — and it's a really interesting one to look at. ❤️

The nail plate itself is made from keratinised cells, so unlike our skin, it doesn't actually breathe or need oxygen from the air.

So, providing the natural nail is healthy and the service is being carried out correctly, there isn't automatically a need to take a break from your nail appointments simply to allow the nails to “breathe”.

What is important is how we look after the natural nail:
✨ Careful preparation
✨ Professional application
✨ Correct removal
✨ Regular maintenance
✨ Avoiding picking or peeling product off

Sometimes a break may be appropriate if there are signs of damage, irritation or another reason the nail shouldn't be covered — but that's very different from needing a break just for oxygen.

After another manic week at Educ8 Beauty, today was about switching off, spending time together and getting VERY competitive over crazy golf 😂

Running a salon and academy means my brain is normally thinking about clients, students, courses, content, stock… and about 47 other things at once 🤣

So days like this are definitely needed.
Back to doing what I actually know how to do tomorrow because I don't think a career in professional golf is happening anytime soon 😂⛳
