In collaboration with Collective Fashion Justice and , the has declared September’s NYFW will feature no animal fur.

The CFDA will guide designers on ethical, sustainable materials, promoting compassion and innovation.

Steven Kolb, CEO of the CFDA, states, “By banning fur, we aim to inspire American designers and position American fashion as a leader in animal welfare and material innovation.”

of CFJ adds, “The CFDA solidifies its role as a global leader, hoping Milan and Paris follow suit.”

from Humane World for Animals says, “We applaud this influential step towards a fur-free future–promoting innovation while maintaining beauty and creativity.”
