The CONGAM Study is a research team led by Simon Dymond and Alice Hoon at Swansea University, working on a project examining perceptions and attitudes towards Contingency Management for Gambling (CONGAM).
Contingency management for abstinence and attendance in substance misuse treatment has a substantial evidence base but has not been widely adopted or extended to gambling. Our study aims to explore UK gambling treatment providers’ views of CM for treatment of problem gambling and gambling disorder.

We have developed an online survey which aims to explore practitioners’ perceptions about this form of incentive-based treatment.
The survey is open to individuals involved in delivering interventions, peer support, or frontline advice (or a supervisor/trainer of this work) with adults who have experienced gambling harms. We are compensating participants for their time with a £7.50 Amazon voucher.
