🦋The butterfly diaries 🦋

Our caterpillars have finally turned into chrysalises. The children observed them hanging from the lid, curved into their tiny forms. We carefully transferred the lid into its perch, placing it inside the netting.

Now the next step of our little caterpillars’ journey begins. 🐛🦋

Spring Spruce completed 🌱🌸☀️

A big thank you to all the helpers that came to give our pre school grounds a lovely spruce in time for the summer term!

We are so grateful for the donations and the time given to transform our outdoor space for the children 🪴

All plants are edible, with a selection of chives, strawberries, sunflowers, borage, lemon balm, chamomile and many more!

From tiny caterpillars to beautiful butterflies, we’re watching nature work its magic right before our eyes. The children are so excited to care for them and see each stage of their journey 🦋

We would like to say a huge thank you to Hannah and Lyn for coming into our Preschool to talk to the children about Chinese New Year.

The children learnt all about Chinese traditions and had such a wonderful hands on experience. They were able to hold beautiful lanterns and banners, try on dragon masks and even line up to receive “gum” (oranges). The children proudly said “Gung Hay Fat Choy” as they received them!

This was such a rich and meaningful experience for everyone. We are so very thankful! 🇨🇳🧧🐎

🐉Lunar New Year Celebrations 🐉

This week we have been celebrating the Lunar New Year. Today the children created a dragons head and climbed under a parachute to recreate the traditional Lunar celebrations!

The children have also enjoyed dressing up and making their own red purses to put coins in 🧧

A fantastic week of learning and celebration!
