The Jolly Melodies Music Company Swanland, North Ferriby & Brough Take your child on a musical journey with our lively, fun & educational lessons from birth - 5 years We apply new ways to stimulate your child’s learning.

Music with Mummy is a nationwide music education programme with individual stages designed specifically for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers. With Music with Mummy, you are taking your children on a musical learning journey that will give them a life-long enjoyment of music. Here’s why our music programme is so different:
SMALL CLASSES: 8-10 children per class, giving the opportunity for each teacher to get to know your child, so you are never a face in the crowd! We focus on building social skills, forming lasting friendship amongst parents and children in our weekly sessions, and establishing the basics of music appreciation even from a very young age! EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES: We teach various meaningful half-termly learning themes and music concepts, always building on the learning objectives introduced in the previous lessons. All this while having FUN and developing confidence, and important skills like taking turns, sharing and contributing their ideas! AGE-APPROPRIATE STAGES: Class stages are progressive – Jolly Babies for babies birth to 1 year, Music with Mummy for children 1-3 years, and independent music-making in Three Four Time for children 3-4 years. You child will be encouraged to develop musically according to their age and ability. From tiny babies to confident preschoolers, we have a class for every stage of your little one’s musical journey! 🥰

👶 Jolly Babies - from birth
Gentle music, sensory experiences, singing, movement and lots of precious bonding time for you and your baby. 💕

🐻 Jolly Toddlers - from 15 months
More movement, percussion, props and musical fun as little ones explore, experiment and develop their confidence. 🎵

🌟 Jolly Independent - from 3 years
A fun, lively class where preschoolers can explore music more independently, develop their musical skills and build confidence ready for school. 🎶

Each class is specially designed for their age and stage - so there's always something new to discover!

Jolly Independent classes really are the icing on the Jolly Melodies cake! Themes are mainly based on stories or great classical pieces such as ‘Peter and The Wolf’ or ‘The Carnival of the Animals’, and in this third music-learning stage our preschoolers are now ready to attend these slightly longer sessions independently! We don’t want parents/carers to miss the fun totally, they are welcome to stay for our ‘sit in and share’ sessions in the final class of each half-term.

Timetable for our Jolly Independent sessions:

Wednesdays 9.10-9.55am at North Ferriby Parish Hall
Fridays 12.15-1.00pm at Swanland Village Hall

The Jolly Melodies musical journey continues onto JOLLY TODDLERS for ages around 15 months. This lively music stage is gently-structured to encourage so many essential skills - rhythm awareness, speech and vocabulary development, following instructions, movement to music, listening, making friends, coordination and the very beginnings of a singing voice! We learn through half-termly educational themes and the introduction of simple music concepts, and see elements of the Early Years Music Foundation in action in our weekly classes.

Timetable for our Jolly Toddlers sessions:

🗓️Wednesdays 10am and 10.45am at North Ferriby Parish Hall

Calling babies, toddlers, preschoolers and their families to join in the music fun in our Jolly Melodies music sessions Tuesdays and Fridays at Swanland Village Hall, Wednesdays at North Ferriby Parish Hall, Thursdays at Brough Community Centre.

Our Jolly Melodies Music Company education programme will take your children on a musical journey as they:
🎵 Develop independence and concentration through our weekly music sessions.
🎵 Begin to sing and move confidently to our songs and music, so important in music appreciation even from an early age.
🎵 Build speech, language and social skills, and to understand early music concepts.
🎵 Enjoy meaningful, lively and exciting termly learning themes.

Travelling adventure of a lifetime coming to an end soon, and it'll be back to MUSIC from September 15th! Had such a fun time visiting the Seoul Museum of Korean Folk Music exploring local traditional nursery rhymes and understanding the rhythms of the culture. Guess what I was most attracted to? 🥁🥁🥁

We will soon be tapping on our drums too when we begin a new term of singing and music-making 🎵🎶🎵
