Term-time Tuesdays from 1.30-3pm. Baby and Toddler Playgroup in Swanland, near Hull, HU14 3QP, East Yorkshire. Cygnets are a baby & toddler playgroup for preschool children and their parents, grandparents, carers, childminders. Barnabas Church Hall in Swanland, near Hull, on Tuesday afternoons during school term-time between 1.30 and 3pm. Our hall has good spacious facilities, plus a good selection of toys and games for this age group (0-4yrs). We are a Christian group, and like the rest of the St. Barnabas church, we welcome everyone, whatever your beliefs and background. The Cygnets playgroup is a lovely place for adults who care for infants to meet, support and encourage each other, whilst the children have fun, play, make friends, and hear a little about God and his world, in a safe and friendly setting. Our popular baby and toddler group (average 20 children) starts at 1.30pm, with 45 minutes of free play (you can turn up any time!), then we take our 'cygnets' from the little 'pond' and go to our lounge for our nursery rhyme song-time, and a short story from the Bible. Then there is time for tea or fresh coffee for the adults, and a drink and a biscuit for the children, followed by a craft or colouring activity, linked to that day's story. There is no charge for our playgroup, but a small donation (we suggest £1 per family) is gratefully accepted.
