👋 We are looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow for our first day of the new academic year.

A few reminders:

🍝 School lunches can be booked on School Grid.

🐦 Pupils can arrive for Early Birds between 7.45 and 8.15 at the pupil entrance - please email Mrs Nash and/or the office to book for tomorrow and Wednesday. School buddy will be running properly soon.

⏰️ School starts at 8.50, doors open at 8.40. Reception and Year 1 pupils enter through the gate next to Littlebirds and years 2 - 6 enter through the pupil entrance.

Our friends at Clifftop Care Home sent our year 6's a beautiful handmade card with individual messages from the residents whom they had got to know over the last year. Pupils were visibly touched by the messages and will miss their visits as they move to secondary school.

Monday was our annual BBQ and Quidditch day. All pupils had an hour of Quidditch and the whole school enjoyed a BBQ lunch on the field.

thank you for our delicious food and for tempting us with the BBQ smell all morning 😋

Also a big shout out to Miss Lisa for arranging the day and equipment 👏 👏

Yr 6 pupils had a fun-filled camping trip with . A wonderful way to celebrate the end of their time at St Mary's.

Yr 2 are enjoying designing and making hand puppets in their last DT project of the year.

Our annual Sports Day proved to be as fun-filled and celebratory as always. Lots of school records were beaten as well as the annual trophies being awarded. One highlight was the renaming of The Purbeck Cup, local schools football competition, to The Joe Gadston Cup. Joe was a true inspiration to hundreds of St Mary's pupils over many years and is greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A big thank you to Mr White and Mrs Maidmen for organising a day enjoyed by all.

Also, a big thank you to sport leaders and our ex pupils for their help.

Our Indoor athletic's team are county champions and our girl's football team have recently won The Purbeck Cup so we decided to have a party to celebrate their amazing hard work and success.

We danced away to a silent disco ( the staff probably had as much fun as the pupils doing this!!) and then we played a game or rounders cricket, followed by ice cream kindly donated to us by Mr & Mrs Mawson.

Congratulations to you! And thank you for representing St Mary's so well.

A lovely evening was spent celebrating the Purbeck School sports awards. Miss Lisa was extremely proud watching the collection of awards. Well done and thank you for your hard work, commitment and dedication to St Mary's sports.
