It’s a wonderful story written by Julia Donaldson and will be the theme of Wild Tots tomorrow🐾 there’ll be lots of Superworm inspired fun 🔎✨🪱 plus maybe a little campfire and a toasted snack 🔥

A rainy Wild Tots session meant lots of rainy fun ☔️ as well as reading 5 different stories 📚 to these little sweeties in the book nook 🥰 … I also got to sit with a hot chocolate and finish the whole cup 🎉☕️

🧗 Climb through the large rope spider web
🫧 Wash the chalk spider webs away from the mud kitchen
🕷️ Craft spiders from natural materials
🍁 Gather natural materials to stick to a sticky spider web
🔍 Hunt for spiders around forest school!

Will Wild Tots run through November?

Tomorrow we will be reading the story of ‘Remember, remember the 5th of November’ 🔥 which is about a little hedgehog’s discovery of bonfire night and colourful fireworks 🎇

🎨 Splatter paint colourful chalk fireworks
🎇 Craft stick sparklers
🦔 Mould clay hedgehogs with stick spines
🍁 Build a bonfire from lots of sticks and leaves

Bothered By Bugs was loved by all today 🐛🐜🐞🕷️🪲

It was a wonderful mix of imaginative ‘beetle chip cookie’ 🍪 baking in the mud kitchen, conker drilling to make conker spiders 🕷️, pushing sticks in apples to make apple insects 🐞🍎, sorting through the sensory tuff tray to find bugs 🐜 and put them in jars 🫙(just like in the story) and… bug hunting 🔍

It was a joy to be on Cambridge Radio this morning to talk about my Charity Sky Dive and community projects 🌳🙌🏻 even better to hear our weekend wildings and parents were circled around listening to it at the forest school ☺️

So proud to announce it’s hit our £1000 target now thanks to Gavin’s final donation 🎉 but we would LOVE to raise more so donations are open for the next few days for those who wish to support 1st Swaffham Prior Scouts and Burwell Day Centre 🙌🏻

Anyone else feeling autumnal already? 👀 we have 2 weeks left of Summer but it’s starting to feel like Autumn already with the leaves & conkers falling 🍂🍁

Which is why our Story for this Monday is ‘The Leaf Thief’ 🍁🔍 involving a very confused squirrel who searches for the missing leaves from the trees 🌳 it’s the perfect story to lead us into leaf crafts, treasure hunts and forest school fun with hints of Autumn 🙌🏻

Wild Abundance is 1 🎉 (tomorrow 👀)!!! We celebrated with a community lunch and a fabulous cake baked by Lauren 🎂

There was lots of fun had with crafting, tools, mud kitchens and all of the 🌳 usual forest school magic ✨ plus egg throwing, games and getting to know new wonderful forest school families joining for the first time ☺️🎉

We have spaces available for our next Weekend Wildlings which is the PERFECT way to spend either a Saturday morning or afternoon 🐾 especially if you work all week and miss out on fun family activities during the week!
