We are looking for a reliable, cheerful person to join our friendly team as a Midday Supervisor on a fixed term, part-time contract.

As an essential member of staff, you will support children’s safety, wellbeing and behaviour during their lunch break, helping to create a happy and positive lunchtime environment for all.

If you enjoy working with children, are caring and approachable, and would love to be part of our school community, we would love to hear from you!

We were delighted to welcome Mark Haggan, Vice Chair of Rise Multi Academy Trust, to Albert Village Community Primary School for an inspiring visit focused on environmental responsibility. 🌍

Our pupils were fascinated to hear about Mark’s journey in environmental activism, including how he started an environmental group during his own school years and how those experiences helped build his confidence and passion for making a difference.

As a school, we are proud to champion sustainability through initiatives such as W.I.L.E (Wombles In Litter Education) and participation in BBC Leicester’s Our Planet, Our Pledge project.

Pupils especially loved Mark’s messages about kindness, confidence, and exploring the world around them — proving that small actions can lead to meaningful change.

Thank you, Mark, for inspiring our pupils and supporting our commitment to protecting the environment. 💚

We’re proud to be part of BBC Leicester 's Our Planet, Our Pledge: Celebrating 100 Years of David Attenborough 🌍💚

Pupils at Albert Village Community Primary School are joining schools across the county to celebrate David Attenborough’s 100th birthday with a Day of Environmental Action on 8th May. An amazing 150 schools have signed up!

We're delighted to be part of this milestone event and have also contributed as a promotional voice for the campaign on BBC Radio Leicester. Listeners are encouraged to tune in and see if they can spot the school featured on air, or listen below.

We’re also hosting a community litter pick at Albert Village Lake today at 2pm, everyone is welcome!

We’re so proud of our thriving breakfast club! 🍽 🌟

Thanks to the dedication of our amazing staff—Mrs Marshall, Mrs Hewitt, Mrs Jenkin and Miss Osborne—children enjoy a warm, welcoming start to the day.

Each morning (7:30–8:45am), pupils can choose from activities like table tennis, table football, board games, construction play, and creative arts and crafts. They also enjoy a healthy breakfast of toast, cereals, and spreads before heading to class ready to learn.

The club has become a much-loved part of school life, with some children attending simply because they enjoy it so much!

We are proud to be taking part in BBC Leicester's Our Planet, Our Pledge: Celebrating 100 Years of Attenborough!

To mark this special occasion, we’re hosting a community litter pick at Albert Village Lake on 7th May at 2PM 🌱

Our fantastic WOMBLE Waste Warriors will be leading the way, helping to care for our local environment and following the inspiring example of Sir David Attenborough and his lifelong dedication to protecting our planet. You can listen to their radio submission within this post, where they give all the details! 🌿🦋
