🌲🏕️ Year 2 Standon Bowers Residential 2027 🏕️🌲
We are delighted to announce that our current Year 2 pupils have been offered the opportunity to attend a fantastic 2-day, 1-night residential visit to Standon Bowers in April 2027. These exciting adventures will give children the chance to take part in a wide range of outdoor activities, develop their independence, build friendships and create memories that will last a lifetime! 🌳🧗‍♀️🚣‍♂️🔥
📅 Information Evening We will be holding an initial parent information evening on Monday 14th September 2026 at 315pm, where families can find out more about the residential, view example itineraries, discuss accommodation and ask any questions they may have. Attendance at this meeting does not commit your child to attending the visit. There will be another meeting taking place nearer to these events on Monday 8th February 2027 at 315pm.
💷 Cost and Payments The total cost of the residential is £123 per pupil, which includes accommodation, meals and all activities. To support families, payments can be spread across several months through Arbor.
❤️ Support Available We want every child to have the opportunity to take part. Families who may need financial support are encouraged to contact school confidentially, and assistance may be available for eligible pupils.
🧥♻️ We will also be holding a sustainability event before the trip, giving families the opportunity to donate and collect pre-loved waterproofs, wellies and outdoor clothing to help keep costs down.
📋 Please remember that consent forms should be returned by Friday 25th September 2026.

Supporting Families of Children with Additional Needs in South Derbyshire
Umbrella is expanding its support for families of children with additional needs across South Derbyshire and strengthening connections with local schools and services.
To help introduce the support available, Umbrella is hosting an informal drop-in session at Woodville Youth and Community Centre on Tuesday 15 September from 11am to 1pm.
Families and professionals are invited to go along to meet the Umbrella team, learn more about the services on offer, and connect with other local organisations that support children and families.
The event is also an opportunity to share ideas about what support is needed locally, including support groups, workshops, courses, and family events.
There is no need to book, simply drop in at any time between 11am and 1pm.
