Thank you to St Matthew's Church for welcoming Pre-school for a visit and to learn more about our community. The children were able to have a new experience and were building Churches with toy blocks when we returned.

Are you aware of the new immunisation schedule for your little ones? 💉

All babies (whether they were born before or after July 2024) will continue to be offered immunisations at 8,12 and 16 weeks old. For the remaining vaccinations, these changes are now in place:

- If they were born before 1st July 2024, they will continue to be offered at 1 year, 2 years and 3 years 4 months.
- If your baby was born on or after 1st July 2024, they will be offered immunisations when they turn 1 year, 18 months old, 2 years and 3 years 4 months.

An explanation to the current funding available

Good morning everyone, we hope you're enjoying the holidays!
Just a quick reminder to renew you're 30 hour funding codes if you haven't already done so, cut off is 31st August. Also 30 hour funding is available for children from the age of 9 months from 1st September, so it's always worth having a look if you're eligible, visit childcare choices online.

One of the school readiness 'key steps' is independent dressing and being able to put on their own coat. Your little one may have been shown the 'coat flip' technique if they went to a childcare setting, but if not and they still find getting their coat on a little tricky, why not get practising the coat flip trick at home.

1. Place the coat on the floor at your little ones feet, the inside of the coat facing up, open, and with the hood or neck of the jacket in front of their feet.
2. Ask your little one to reach down and slide their arms into the sleeves and as they stand up...
3. They flip the coat over their head and pull it on.

It might take a bit of practise to get them doing it confidently but you can use the rhyme "tag to your toes, arms in the holes and over it goes" to help.

Once they have mastered it your little one will feel super pleased with their independence.
