Blackfordby Nursery is a small independent plant nursery run by garden designer Anna Barker. In 2020, open Sundays until the end of September.

Permanently closed.

We grow herbaceous perennials, bulbs, shrubs and grasses, and open to the public most weekends during the growing season. Keep a look out for the signs in Blackfordby, or check the website for news.

Hello everyone! I am going to open up the nursery this Sunday the 23rd July ‘23 from 11-3 ….excuse the w**ds! The sun/rain combo is perfect w**d growing weather 😂

After a bit of a crazy year, I will be opening the nursery for a big sale at this weekends Open Gardens in Blackfordby.

Come along and enjoy the event and pop in to say hi 👋.

Just a reminder that we will be opening especially for this weekend’s Blackfordby Open Gardens, 11-4, Sat and Sun.

We will be CASH ONLY, and we will be selling plants only, no refreshments. There will be plenty of food and drink available from the gardens, so you won’t starve!

Entry to the Open Gardens event is £4 for a wristband that lasts all weekend. (If you are coming just to visit us, you don’t need a wristband.)

We also have our garden open as part of the event, so why not come and have a look 👀

Hey folks – just to let you know that, although we remain closed, we will be opening up as part of Blackfordby Open Gardens. Sat-Sun 25th-26th June – between 11am-4pm on both days.

Phew! Another season is drawing to a close at the nursery and tomorrow will be my last official day open this year …. but as always if you are looking for a plant or two drop me a message I might have it or could find it for you.. Strictly has started so it’s downhill to Christmas 😂.. hopefully see you next spring 😊

Good morning folks .. we are coming towards the end of our opening season .. There are still some lovelies to be seen though .. in addition to the flowers below we also have a good range of grasses which really look fab at this time of year, are possibly the easiest plants to keep and combine so well with other garden plants. Come and have a chat about what would work in your garden 🤔😊🌸🌼

Morning .. it’s lovely here today ..lots of late summer colour just starting .. the sedum and hydrangea are blushing pink 😊 the penstemon are full of colour and the monarda smells amazing … here til 4 pm
