Hi everyone. I am no longer running my childminding business, however, am potentially looking for nanny jobs. If anyone requires a full/part time nanny with immediate start, or knows of anyone that does, please get in touch. Thank you so much xx

So, as of this morning, my little business has to close. I have key worker children but they have a parent who can care for them at home whilst their partner works, which is the safest place for their child to be. Everyone should be staying at home if at all possible so for this reason, I have sadly closed my doors and am also self isolating, apart from necessary trips to the supermarket.

I thank you all for your continued support in bringing your precious little ones to be cared for by me and for liking/sharing/commenting on my page. It means so much as it is what has kept me going. Unfortunately, so far, the self employed it seems have been sadly let down by the government.

I am hopeful that we will all get through this crisis and be stronger, kinder and more humble by the end of this year.

Stay safe everyone ###

My heart is aching for my fellow freelancers/ self employed πŸ’”

They don’t have a premises - no Β£10k grant.

They don’t employ staff - no 80% of their wage covered to retain them.

They aren’t employed - no 80% of their wage covered.

They can apply for universal credit and get a maximum of 300 odd quid, but if you live with a partner who’s lucky enough to have a wage then you’ll get nothing.

They haven’t been given definitive direction to close, but all of their clients are cancelling and their industries are mounting pressure and shame on them to close - the same people who are getting grants and their staff are getting 80% of their wages paid.

They know they have to do social distancing. But they are a few days away from zero income.

And these people have built their businesses from zero with unimaginable amounts of blood, sweat and tears.

Please be compassionate and empathetic to your freelancer friends, their world is crumbling around them and they haven’t been thrown the same lifeline as you. They are being forced to make horrendously difficult decisions and don’t need any more shame from anyone else.

THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED

The pixies are well established now within their routines, boundaries and relationships with each other. Confidence continues to grow as the younger ones are hopefully feeling more and more secure as time goes on. Our days are full of fun, laughter and shared experiences....love my new little tribe πŸ’—
