This week's post - with AI on the rise, this is an interesting read!

Rise Multi Academy Trust

AI companions are becoming increasingly popular with young people, offering conversations with virtual characters designed to feel like genuine friends.

Platforms such as Character.AI, Replika and Snapchat My AI can provide entertainment and creativity, but their human-like interactions can also create important risks.

Our latest guide explores:
• Emotional dependency
• Harmful or unreliable mental health advice
• Oversharing personal information
• Inappropriate or explicit content
• Distorted expectations around real-world relationships
• Subscription and in-app spending pressures

The guide also offers practical advice on discussing AI friendships, checking privacy settings and age limits, encouraging offline relationships and reminding young people where to seek genuine support.

📚✨ Thank You for Joining Us! ✨📚

A huge thank you to all the parents and family members who joined us for our Reading Open Morning today. It was wonderful to see so many of you sharing in your children's learning, exploring our reading activities, and celebrating the progress they are making. The children were incredibly proud to show off their learning and loved having you in school with them!

At our school, we value the strong partnership we have with our families. Throughout the year, we offer a range of open events designed to give you an insight into how we teach key skills and subjects, while also providing opportunities for you to get involved in your child's learning journey. We are always delighted by the fantastic support and engagement from our families, which makes these events so special.

💙 We warmly encourage all families to take advantage of these opportunities whenever possible. Research consistently shows that when families actively engage in their child's education, it has a positive impact on confidence, motivation and achievement. Your presence at these events sends a powerful message to your child that their learning matters and is worth celebrating.

🌟 Upcoming Open Events 🌟
• Christmas Crafts - 3rd December 2.15pm-3.00pm
• Maths open morning - 20th January 9.00am-9.45am
• Wider curriculum - 18th June 9.00am-9.45am

Please remember that any family member is welcome to attend and support our children at these events. Whether you're a mum, dad, grandma, grandad, auntie, uncle, or another special family member, we would love to see you at an upcoming event at Three Trees!

Thank you again for your continued support. Working together helps us create the very best learning experiences for our children, and we look forward to welcoming many of you to our future events. 😊💙💛

📚 Thank you to our wonderful parents! 💛

A huge thank you to all the parents who joined us for our Infants Phonics Meeting. It was fantastic to see so many of you getting involved and finding out more about how we teach phonics at school.

We use the Sounds-Write phonics programme across our EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2 classes. Sounds-Write provides a systematic approach to teaching children how to read and spell, and we really value working in partnership with families to support children’s progress.

🌟 Want to find out more?
Sounds-Write has a fantastic Parents and Carers section on their website, packed with useful information and resources to help you support your child at home. They also offer a Sounds-Write Podcast, with helpful advice for parents and carers, as well as a FREE online parent course: Help Your Child to Read and Write.

⭐️ As a school, we offer workshops for parents, helping you to understand and confidently implement the schemes we use, at home. We believe these workshops are a great opportunity to feel involved in your child’s learning, understand the language and strategies we use in school, and most importantly, help your child develop as a confident learner. 📖✨

Thank you again for your support and for being such an important part of your child’s learning journey!

A huge thank you to all of our wonderful parents, families and children who came along to support our sponsored walk this morning. We are so pleased with the fantastic turnout and loved seeing so many smiling faces joining us! 💛

The sun was shining, everyone was happy and Miss Galpin was cheering us on with positive tunes on the speaker. It really has been a brilliant morning and we appreciate all your support and encouragement. It means so much to us! 🥰

A little reminder: any sponsorship money can be handed into a member of the EYFS staff team before the end of this week. 💰

We are very excited to welcome local poet, Attie Lime, to Three Trees tomorrow! She will be leading workshops with every year group, leading a special session with our Reading Reps and selling signed copies of her books after school too!

If you wish to make any purchases tomorrow, children can bring cash to spend and give it to their teacher to keep safe or you can come along and meet Attie at 3.30pm in the Junior Hall.
