I know stepping outside your comfort zone can feel scary.

There have been many moments in my life where fear has told me to stay small, hold back and made me doubt myself. Yet every time I've chosen to lean into the fear, I've realised I'm capable of so much more than I believed.

That's one of the reasons I'm so excited to be running The Empowered Mind with my beautiful friend, Olivia Beardsmore. Together we've created a day that isn't about proving anything to anyone, it's about discovering what's possible when you start believing in yourself again.

One thing I really want people to know is this...

You do not have to do the arrow break or the glass walk.

They are completely optional.

You are always in control.

Whether you choose to watch, take part in one exercise, both, or neither, you'll still leave with a deeper understanding of yourself, practical tools to build resilience, and insights that can genuinely change the way you approach life's challenges.

For me, the arrow break and glass walk aren't about being fearless. They're about choosing to face something difficult in a safe, supportive environment, on your terms. Because when life inevitably throws challenges your way - when you don't get to choose the circumstances - you have a powerful memory to draw upon. You can remind yourself:

"I've done something I never thought I could do before. I can do hard things."

That's what building everyday resilience is really about.

If you've been feeling stuck, questioning yourself, or feel like there's another version of you waiting to emerge, we'd love to join us.

✨Something exciting is coming… ✨

Olivia and I have met to put the finishing touches to something we’ve been working on together - The Empowered Mind.

A one-day immersive experience designed to help you understand what’s been holding you back, challenge the fears and limiting beliefs that have kept you stuck, and get really clear about who you are and who you want to become.

Olivia is an Experiential Empowerment Coach, and we’re bringing together our different skills and approaches to create a day that isn’t just about sitting, listening and taking notes.

You’re going to experience the change.

🏹 We’ll explore the fears and beliefs you’re ready to leave behind before putting that into action with an arrow break, led by Olivia.

We’ll then turn our attention to you.

Who are you when you strip away the expectations, the roles and all the things you think you should be?

What really matters to you?

What are your values?

And who do you want to be moving forward?

Then we’ll finish with a glass walk, an opportunity to physically step forward into that next version of you. ❤️

It’s going to be a powerful day, and I’m sooo excited about what we’re creating together.

I’ve been rubbish at social media over the last few weeks! 🙈 When life is busy, it’s always the first thing to go! But one thing I have absolutely loved is spending my Tuesday afternoons on Burton Radio, meeting some amazing people and hearing their stories.

Ask Reeves with Hazel Morgan
Our monthly Ask Reeves feature is always fun...although Hazel does like to keep me on my toes! 😅 Listeners send in questions about mental health, wellbeing, relationships, work, neurodiversity and everything that comes with being human. We answer them live on air and share our thoughts. We’ve decided to finish each episode with one completely random, and lighter question from Hazel...last time it was my thoughts on bin bags! 😂

If you’ve enjoyed any of the shows, I’d really appreciate you sharing them with your friends and family. ❤️

And if you’d like to be a guest, know someone with an inspiring story to tell, or there’s a topic you’d love us to cover, I’d love to hear from you.

Remember who you are and that you matter, you beautiful human 🌸

When I read this testimonial, one phrase stood out more than anything else:

“I’ve learned to accept myself properly.”

This literally makes my heart sing! 🩷

Most of the clients I work with are hard on themselves, constantly feel they’re not doing enough, achieving enough, coping well enough or fitting in enough. I think self-acceptance is one of the most underrated skills there is.

Many of us spend years trying to become a different version of ourselves to fit in.

Sometimes the biggest change comes when we stop fighting ourselves and start understanding ourselves instead.

This client has worked so hard. It was a privilege to get to know them and I’m so grateful they trusted me enough to share this experience with them.

Swipe through to read their incredible words.

Change is possible ❤️

“So, who do you work with?”

I’ve spent years trying to find a simple answer to that question!

At different points, I’ve had different niches - anxiety, confidence, men’s mental health, burnout, wellbeing, mindset.

And whilst those things are all part of what I do, none of them quite capture it.

These days, a lot of people come to me because of neurodivergent-related challenges. They might have ADHD, be autistic, suspect they are neurodivergent or just feel like their brain works differently to the people around them.

A big part of the work I do is helping them understand themselves with more compassion, become more comfortable with who they are, and stop spending their lives trying to fit into boxes that were never designed for them in the first place.

But even that doesn’t tell the whole story.

Because people rarely come to me wanting to “fix” their ADHD or autism.

They come because life isn’t working the way they want it to.

Quite often, everything looks fine on the surface, but underneath…

They’re overwhelmed.

They’re stuck.

They’re exhausted.

They’re questioning themselves.

They’re wondering why everyone else seems to find life easier than they do.

So instead of telling you who I work with, let me tell you some of the things I’ve helped people do in the last year or so…

✨ I’ve helped a teenage girl overcome debilitating health anxiety that had become all-consuming and was stopping her living her life. She went on to apply for university and is now happily living there.

✨ I’ve helped a client leave a career they’d been in for more than 20 years by helping them understand their values, what they wanted from life, and supporting them to forge a completely new path.

✨ I’ve helped a client start a business that was more aligned with who they are, how their brain works, and the life they wanted to create.

✨ I’ve helped a couple on the verge of separation improve their communication, better understand each other’s needs and rebuild their relationship.

✨ I’ve helped an overwhelmed professional recover from burnout, accept themselves more fully and rebuild their confidence.

The common thread isn’t gender, job title, or diagnosis.

It’s people who know something needs to change. People who are tired of surviving and want to start living.

People who want life to fit them, rather than constantly trying to force themselves to fit everyone else’s expectations.

And that’s why I’ve stopped worrying quite so much about finding the perfect niche.

Because what I really help people do is understand themselves better, work with their minds instead of against them and create a life that genuinely works for them.

So if you’re reading this and wondering whether I can help you, or someone you love, feel free to get in touch. I’m always happy to have a conversation and see whether I’m the right person to help 🩷

I used to think there was something wrong with me.

I felt like I just couldn’t switch off. I couldn’t sit still. I found it difficult to relax. At times, meditation’s felt impossible.

My husband and the boys would tell me to just sit down, chill out, watch a film.

Honestly? I could think of nothing worse. 😆Three hours of sitting still is not my idea of recharging.

For years, I thought I needed to try harder to relax.

What I’ve realised is that I don’t refill my battery in the same way as everyone else, (particularly those in my house!).

In fact, I’m off work poorly at the moment, and it’s times like this that I notice it most. My body is telling me to slow down and recover, but my mind is still active!

That’s when I can start to feel frustrated.

I’ve learned that rest and doing nothing aren’t always the same thing.

Sometimes the best thing I can do is find a creative focus that allows my body to rest while keeping my mind gently occupied.

Whether you have ADHD, suspect you might be neurodivergent, or simply recognise yourself in this, you don’t need a diagnosis to become curious about how your brain works and become more aware of what you need.

There isn’t a right way to rest.

There’s only the way that works for you.

I’d love to know...

What helps you refill your battery?

🤔ASK REEVES QUESTION - “I’ve got a million things to do...but I just freeze. Why do I do this?”

If you’ve ever stared at a to-do list, scrolled your phone instead, tidied a cupboard that didn’t need tidying or convinced yourself you’ll do it later, you’re not alone.

One of the biggest things I’ve learned is that procrastination isn’t laziness.

Quite often:
👉 The task feels too big or overwhelming
👉 You’re worried about getting it wrong and want it to be perfect
👉 The task is boring and your brain is desperately looking for something more interesting
👉 You don’t know where to start

For those of us with busy brains (especially ADHD brains), “I’ll do it later” can become a dangerous phrase because later often never arrives!

A few things that help:
✅ Break the task into ridiculously small steps
✅ Commit to just 5 minutes – the momentum usually carries you through
✅ Focus on starting, not finishing
✅ If you catch yourself saying “I’ll do it later”, ask yourself whether you can do it now instead. Just get the job ticked off the list!

One of the biggest shifts for me since my ADHD diagnosis has been realising that the things I put off don’t disappear! They sit, lurking in the background taking up mental space and making me feel like there’s something wrong with me for not being able to get such a simple thing done or at least started!

It’s like having a computer with lots of tabs open. It’s not going to run as efficiently!

Sometimes the quickest way to find peace is simply to do the thing!

I never really know where to start when it comes to social media posts. Sometimes it’s just tumblew**d. 😐

Partly because there are so many things I could talk about, but also because I often assume everyone already knows the things I know.

Then I’ll sit with a client, have a conversation at a networking event, or chat to a friend, and realise that something I take for granted has been a complete game-changer for someone else.

I love learning. I’m a complete nerd when it comes to human behaviour, the brain, wellbeing, and understanding why we do what we do.

And I LOVE taking something I’ve learned and sharing it in a way that makes sense.

That’s really where Ask Reeves comes from.

Over the years, I’ve done Ask Reeves in different formats, but my quirky brain isn’t always the best at consistency! 🤦‍♀️😂

So this time, I’ve called on my friend Hazel, who joins me once a month on my radio show to ask the questions you’ve sent in.

We’ve even created a bowl full of little question balls (which I’m quite proud of! 😂). We’ll have a furkle, pull one out, and I’ll share my thoughts, experiences, insights and tools that have helped me and the hundreds of people I’ve worked with over the years.

Now, I’m not claiming to have all the answers. My answers definitely won’t be perfect, and they won’t be right for everyone.

But whether your question is about work stress, anxiety, burnout, confidence, relationships, parenting, neurodivergence, mental health, wellbeing, or simply how to become a happier, healthier human, I’d love to hear from you.
