🌺 Remembrance Day 2025 at Little Alpacas🌺

This week, our children have been learning about Remembrance Day through a range of creative and thoughtful activities!💚

We’ve been busy making poppy crafts using a variety of materials, and taking part in gentle discussions about kindness, and why we celebrate Remembrance Day by honouring all who have helped to keep us safe!🏅

All our wonderful activities help support the children’s development in so many ways!
From strengthening their fine motor skills and gaining a deeper understanding of the world, to encouraging emotional growth, and enhancing their communication as they share ideas and listen to others! 🤎

The children also donated lots of artwork to The Courtyard, Ashby de la Zouch who have kindly displayed it all inside their wonderful cafe!...
And of course our window looks incredible too!✨️

What a Fantastic Sports Day! 🏃‍♀️☀️

What an amazing day we had at Little Alpacas for our very first Sports Day!
The sun was shining, our little athletes were full of energy, and the field was buzzing with laughter, cheering, and some very speedy legs!

From the sack races to the beanbag toss, every event was designed not just for fun (although there was lots of that!) but also to help build important skills like balance, coordination, teamwork, and perseverance.

It was such a joy to see the children cheering for their friends, trying their best, and celebrating each other’s efforts! ☺️
Whether they were running, jumping, or throwing, they were all champions in our eyes! 🏅

Let’s keep moving, playing, and growing together!❤️

At Little Alpaca’s Pre-School and Nursery, we pride ourselves in being able to provide unique and truly amazing experiences for your children across our 110 acre farm! 🚜
From visiting and feeding the array of animals that live on it! To taking a walk to our Mud Kitchen, where a mixture of natural resources has been put to good use for lots of "baking"! 💚
We also leave no stone or stick unturned in our forest, when we have our bug hunts, where the children learn and discuss all nature has to offer!🐛🐞
The forest provides resources for children to explore how objects can be combined together in heuristic play sessions! 🌳

We also provide lots of invigorating and educational activities within the setting, all surrounding the children's interests, enhancing their creativity and imagination, whilst learning as they go!✨️

We are now taking bookings for our Summer holiday club for children aged 3 months to 11 years.

Our holiday club will be running from Wednesday 9th July - Friday 29th August 2025.

The school holidays are almost here, and so is our holiday club! 🦙🤎

Here at Little Alpacas Pre School and Nursery, we thrive on exploring in all weathers!
This week, our pre school children have been ecstatic to see the grey clouds forming and rain falling again, as this means..... MUDDY PUDDLE SPLASHING!! 🌧️☔️

Following the children’s lead, we had lots of fun together! All while developing their vocabulary, colour recognition, mathematical skills, and gross motor skills!

We counted how many puddles we could see before running and jumping into them! Some of us were hopping too! We then distinguished the size of the puddles. Some were small and shallow, whilst others were big and deep!
Happily taking in all the animals and beautiful scenery surrounding us, discussing what wildlife and colours we could see!🌧☔️
