After looking at what is required of students sitting English Language and English Literature at GCSE level, I have to say that I do not think that getting a good grade (4/5) will be easy for most students. So I would advise all students to take their studies seriously from word go.

Just my opinion, but work hard from the beginning of your two years of study, and if you do struggle don’t be shy to ask for help at shool or from a private tutor.

Have seen a lot on TV about Home tuition.

This must be really hard, I suppose if everybody could teach there would be no need for schools.

So I’m just reminding people that I am available to help with the schooling so your child does not fall behind.

I am a qualified teacher with a BA and MA in English and art history. I am also qualified to teach people, adults and children, who struggle with basic reading and writing.

I am old school and would much prefer to meet people on a face-to-face basis. The venue can be of your choice, I would be happy for you to come to my house, but these days it is probably better to meet in a public place such as a library or at your home.

I can offer help at any level from basics to Teenagers perhaps need to up their grades.

I am a single lady in my 50s with a young outlook and I’m definitely not frightening.

I have always loved teaching and the sharing of knowledge.

II believe Ithat study and the pursuit of new ideas iis worthwhile for its own sake and for me it has. been the source of endless interest and pleasure.

Knowledge is also power. Today the possession of qualifications is essential for anyone seeking to empower themselves both socially and in the job market.

The passing of exams with top grades has become ever more
essential at all levels and for all jobs and professions.

Exams are stressful and scary in themselves, and students of all ages and abilities often fail to do themselves justice.

My areas of expertise are in Literature, History and Art History. I have a Master’s degree in these subjects.

Many able students fail to do themselves justice because of their poor knowledge of grammar, spelling and syntax.
Even more students have never been taught to express their knowledge in a clear and succinct way and do not know how to present their essays or develop their written work properly.

All these basic skills are essential for success both now and in their future careers.

If learnt at an early age these basic skills will become second nature. However, a determined older student should have no difficulty in acquiring the ability to express their knowledge correctly and in this way improve their grades.
