Glory to God! Happy Sunday 🧡 (...and happy feast of St Francis of Assisi!)

As the General Instruction of the Roman Missal puts it: "The Gloria is a very ancient and venerable hymn in which the Church, gathered together in the Holy Spirit, glorifies and entreats God the Father and the Lamb." - GIRM, 53

"Today, dear Lord, today." 🌹

My Song of Today is based on a poem written by St Thérèse of Lisieux in 1894... A poem about living in the present moment, trusting God with tomorrow and choosing to love Him today.

St Thérèse writes about her deep love for Jesus, her trust in Mary, the Eucharist and her hope of heaven, the "eternal Today."
........................................................

The song was commissioned by the Bishops' Conference of England and Wales for the visit of St Thérèse's relics to England and Wales in 2009, and was later released on the Child of Grace EP.
