A huge congratulations to Jo 🎉

Jo has just secured her very first nursery alongside the 5 school clubs she’s already built in Liverpool in just 3 months.

And I have to admit, it takes me right back to some of our very first conversations before she became a franchisee.

“How will I know it will work?”

“Will it work for me?”

Along with all the self-doubt, uncertainty and worry that comes with doing something new.

Because despite what social media often shows us, most people don’t start a business feeling 100% confident.

They start because something inside them tells them there’s more possible.

The confidence comes later.

What I’ve loved most about watching Jo over the last few months isn’t just the results she’s achieved.

It’s watching her keep showing up.

Having the conversations.
Taking the action.
Learning new skills.
Doing the things that felt uncomfortable at first.

And little by little, building belief in herself along the way.

So today feels like a lovely milestone.

5 school clubs.
1 nursery.
Countless children she’ll now have the opportunity to inspire.

Putting yourself first at 40+ isn’t selfish. It’s necessary.

I see so many women who’ve spent years looking after everyone else.

The children. The family. The job.
Then life gets a little quieter and they start asking:

Not because they’re unhappy.

Starting Pudding & Pie was the first time I’d built something around my life, not squeezed it into the gaps.

And putting myself first didn’t take away from the people I love.
