Hands up if Autumn is your favourite season? 🙋♀️
The nights are drawing in, the jumpers are coming out, the pumpkins are spicing up our lattes!
But, at the same time, the changing of the seasons can be an adjustment (and I don't just mean the weather).
Our kids grow up and leave home, friends move away, family get sick. Life keeps changing. We can find ourselves longing for the season that has just passed.
But in each changing season, we have access to treasures that we didn’t have in the seasons gone by.
When the beautiful snow of winter melts, it feels like loss. But what comes next are the gorgeous flowers of Spring.
When the blossom and leaves of the Summer trees begin to fade and fall, it feels like loss. But what comes next are the breathtaking colours of Autumn.
Each new season unlocks treasures you didn’t have access to before.
Don’t spend so long mourning for the things you’ve lost that you miss the incredible treasures God has for you in this season right now.
