📢 Service Update for Families Across Sutton Coldfield & Hodge Hill.

We have thoroughly enjoyed spending the summer holidays with you all across Sutton Coldfield and Hodge Hill during our Summer Stay & Play sessions.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the summer so special! ☀️🌈

Our Summer Stay & Play programme will come to an end on Thursday 27 August 2026.

We look forward to welcoming you back from week beginning Monday 7th September, and we're currently putting the finishing touches to our new What's On Guide, which will be available soon.

As we transition into our autumn programme, please note the following service updates:

📅 Friday 28 August 2026 • Tame Valley Children's Centre will be closed. • Anthony Road Children's Centre will be closed, except for pre-booked 2-year-old development checks, which will continue as planned.

📅 Monday 31 August 2026 All centres will be closed for the Bank Holiday.

📅 Wednesday 2 September 2026 • All Family Hubs and Children's Centres across Sutton Coldfield and Hodge Hill will be closed for the day due to a colleague training day.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding as we continue to develop and improve our services for children and families.

❓ Meet up for dads, step-dads, and male carers of children aged 0-5 at the Botanical Gardens.

📍 Botanical Gardens, Westbourne Rd, Birmingham B15 3TR
💷 Free entry to the gardens provided you register with the QR code or arrive at the reception for 10:00. It is £3 for parking at the gardens.

Our Hodge Hill Best Start Family Hub, at Kitts Green Children's Centre has The Works Bus Tour on site today, feel free to pop down between 10-4pm, to have a look at what books are available, take part in some crafts and meet Zog. 🥳

Simply School Supplies are at Falcon Lodge Methodist Church today for their school uniform pop up event, between 2-3pm

Free pre-loved uniform or new uniform is £1 an item

Tomorrow we are at Falcon Lodge Methodist Church, Sutton Coldfield with Sutton Coldfield Children's Centres bringing our school uniform pop up shop.
All pre loved uniform is FREE to take and new items only a £1.00.

Parents and Carers: Don't Miss This Free Training Opportunity!

There are still places available on our Paediatric First Aid Course taking place this Thursday at Falcon Lodge Methodist Church.

Led by the British Red Cross, with Sutton Coldfield Best Start Family Hub, this training will equip parents and carers with valuable knowledge and practical skills to help keep children safe and respond in emergency situations.

Simply School Supplies Time Table for Back To School Uniform Pop-Ups.

Come along and get support for school uniform and supplies across Erdington, Perry Barr, Sutton Coldfield and Hodge Hill this summer, with options of pre-loved and new school uniform for a small donation.

Simply School supplies will be at Falcon Lodge Methodist Church on Monday 10th August between 2-3pm

We had a fantastic time at the Sutton Coldfield Community Games on Saturday 11th July.

It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and to welcome new families to the event.

Our play area was a huge success, with many families enjoying the activities and discovering the exciting opportunities and support available through our Family Hubs across the summer holidays.

Thank you to everyone who came along and joined in the fun. We loved connecting with our community and sharing what we have to offer.

We cannot wait to see you all at the next event!
