🏐 What a fantastic performance from our Year 10 netball team! 🎉

The team showcased some excellent netball against the other Sutton schools, finishing with 2 wins, 1 draw, and 1 loss. Every game was closely contested, with the girls demonstrating outstanding teamwork, determination, and skill throughout the tournament.

It was fantastic to see such great netball on display and the way the team supported one another in every match.

👏 Well done, Year 10! We are incredibly proud of you all.

The girls played some excellent football throughout, showing great quality, determination and togetherness in every game.

There are plenty of positives to take from their performances and lots to build on as we look ahead to Week 3.

Our Y10s have made the perfect start to their bid for three BSSF Cup titles in a row with a superb 4–1 victory away at Streetly School! 👏🔥

Having lifted the trophy in Y8 and Y9, the boys are now setting their sights on making it THREE-PEAT! 💪🏆🏆🏆

⚽️ Connor B grabbed a brace to get us rolling, Sam S added a third, before Gian N capped off a fantastic performance with the goal of the game — a stunning curling strike from outside the box, straight into the top corner! 🚀

We are thrilled to introduce our Head Students for this academic year, Emily D.B and Taran L.

Both students have consistently demonstrated leadership, commitment and a positive attitude, making them excellent ambassadors for our school. We know they will be fantastic role models and will work hard to ensure every student voice is heard.

As Head Students, they will be the voice of their fellow students, supporting school events, championing student achievements and helping to make our school an even better place for everyone.

Throughout October, our Humanities Department will be leading a range of activities designed to educate, inspire and encourage reflection on the achievements, contributions and experiences of Black people throughout history and in modern society.

Black History Month provides an important opportunity for our students to learn about influential figures, explore significant events, and celebrate the rich diversity that helps shape our communities.

We look forward to sharing some of the exciting activities taking place across the month.

📢 Arthur Terry Talks Begins ft. Bank of England !

Yesterday, our Year 11 students took part in the first session of our guest speaker programme, Arthur Terry Talks.

We were grateful to be joined by Roopa Sharma, who works for the Bank Of England, managing the risks of climate change. Students heard about the vital role the Bank plays in everyday life, as well as how it helps shape national financial policy. 💷

It was inspiring to hear about Roopa’s career journey, from her schooling in Birmingham to a key role in financial services. An inspirational talk for our Year 11 cohort as they begin considering their next steps and the opportunities available to them in sixth form and beyond.

A huge thank you to Roopa and the Bank of England for this fantastic opportunity! 🧠

We have some fascinating guest speakers lined up in the coming months and look forward to sharing their stories with you! 👀
