👩‍🏫 As an experienced Key Stage 2 class teacher with over 20 years of classroom teaching firmly tucked under my belt, I understand too well how children’s skills can slip over the long summer break.

🤩 More recently, as an experienced tutor with a long list of happy clients and successful students on my books, I also know full well how much some one to one sessions can make a difference to a child’s learning, self esteem and confidence.

🌟 Whatever your child’s areas of need, we can help through carefully crafted and expertly delivered bespoke units of learning. Whether it be to help a child catch up, to close any learning gaps or even to delve in for that deeper understanding of concepts, Close the Gap Tuition is the answer!

🗓 Now taking bookings for lessons over the summer break with spaces for new students in addition to existing students.

The difference that some private tuition can make never fails to amaze me. With 20 years’ classroom experience and now 2 years under my belt as a private tutor, my little business is going from strength to strength with most of my new students coming from recommendations from happy parents. There’s really no better route to new students in my opinion! With a waiting list in my notepad and new slots being created where possible to accommodate those most in need, I couldn’t be happier in my work. Happy Helen. Happy students who are thriving. Happy parents. What could be better?

I'm thinking about my Year 6 students facing transition very soon, as well as those facing a move from Key Stage 1 to 2 and even those simply moving to the next year group!

It's a funny time of year, and your child may be feeling emotions that they are not able to articulate and explain. It’s perfectly natural to have these feelings and I really like the idea of having something to focus on. Mindfulness can really help us to be in the moment, experience new things and refocus our attention to the here and now. This activity is perfect for that.

I also love the idea of reaching out to make a positive change for ourselves and for others. Sometimes it’s the simplest of actions that really makes all the difference.

I can’t believe another year is nearly done and dusted. It will soon be time to start organising next year’s schedule. Good job I have discovered these beautiful books from The Positive Teacher Company - they make my schedule so much easier to organise. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Another great review!

This time it’s from the parent of a Year 7 student who is unfortunately no longer in need of my help. He works so hard and is doing brilliantly but after his recent departure from my schedule, he is sorely missed!

“Just wanted to write to say a massive thank you to you for helping ‘O’ so much over the last couple of years.

I can honestly say you were such a huge part in helping him to thrive during lockdowns and home school.

He enjoyed every session and will look back with fond memories with you.”

🌟 If you’d like to discuss how I can help your child to thrive at school, please call me on 07956625058. ☎️
