👩‍🏫 As an experienced Key Stage 2 class teacher with over 20 years of classroom teaching firmly tucked under my belt, I understand too well how children’s skills can slip over the long summer break.

The difference that some private tuition can make never fails to amaze me. With 20 years’ classroom experience and now 2 years under my belt as a private tutor, my little business is going from strength to strength with most of my new students coming from recommendations from happy parents. There’s really no better route to new students in my opinion! I'm thinking about my Year 6 students facing transition very soon, as well as those facing a move from Key Stage 1 to 2 and even those simply moving to the next year group!

It's a funny time of year, and your child may be feeling emotions that they are not able to articulate and explain. It’s perfectly natural to have these feelings and I really like the idea of having something to focus on. Mindfulness can really help us to be in the moment, experience new things and refocus our attention to the here and now. This activity is perfect for that.

I also love the idea of reaching out to make a positive change for ourselves and for others. Sometimes it’s the simplest of actions that really makes all the difference.
