During National Poetry day, year 1 did an amazing job learning about Joseph Coelho and one of his poems 'Counting to Ten'. Their performance was excellent using actions and a range of voices to explore the feelings.

⚽We are excited to welcome Aston Villa Foundation into school tomorrow to start working with our Reception children over the next 10 weeks. Coach Amber will be bringing her fairytales and adventures to take the children through an exciting and fun session in the afternoon. Lots of children will be familiar with Coach Amber from working together in Nursery but I know she is very excited to see our new children that have started St Anne's this year.. ⚽

This evening, the Y5/Y6 girls football team were defeated 2-1 against Bloxwich in the 1st round of the Walsall Football League.
Well done to LBH for her strike to take the game to 1-1 at the half-time break and to our goalkeeper for making some fine saves to keep the game competitive.
Bloxwich were very complementary about our football and we'll take the positives into the game against Delves next week.
*A very special thank you to one of our ex pupils for helping out with tactics and substitutions. St Francis are very lucky to have you*

We had a great time in art today! Year 1 were working in the style of Daire Lynch experimenting with blue and adding some texture to our painting using the back of a paint brush! We learnt how to transfer our picture to make a print! We are also learning about texture and what that means in our Art lessons! Can you spot the different textures we have added to our mini portrait pictures.
