Happy birthday!

Today was Travelling Ted’s birthday and instead of giving the children sweets he got them some caterpillars and ladybirds.

The children were very excited at what they thought the creatures were when they first saw them - were they centipedes? Or were they caterpillars? Then what were the little black things? Were they ants or beetles? Or were they something else?

I wonder how they will grow and change over the next few weeks?

Congratulations to the year 6 boys who came up against a very resilient Croft Academy. Goals by AS and JR gave us a 2-1 win this evening. Player of the game was OG for his calm composure on the ball in defence. ⚽

Some lovely time spent in forest school this afternoon, we had bug hunts, shelter building and potion making !!

Year 4 are loving reading Charlie and Chocolate Factory! We have got some brilliant readers in Year 4! Well done for reading with expression.
