Hello everyone,

My name is Matt and I am a private primary school tutor. In my twelve years of teaching, I have a wealth of teaching experience across all age groups in primary school. I have taught two years in Year 2, two years in Year 3, three years in Year 4, two years in Year 5 and three years in Year 6 across Birmingham, Sandwell and in Wiltshire. I have an excellent understanding of the pr

imary curriculum for each year group. Alongside working as a classroom teacher, I have also tutored 6 children within the area over the five years of doing this. In my time as a teacher, I have worked with children to achieve excellent SATs results in Year 2 and Year 6. I have evidence of good and outstanding teaching in the classroom on a consistent basis. I have been a Maths Leader in two primary schools to improve attainment and progress of all the children. I have extremely high standards of myself and the children that I teach and tutor. So why am I coming out of the classroom to do private or group tutoring I hear you ask? From my experience in the classroom and tutoring children during and since the COVID 19 pandemic, many children may have lost confidence or perhaps are struggling with their learning habits, social and academic skills in school. It is my passion to promote a love of learning and for children to feel like what they are achieving has purpose and real-life context. I want to use my knowledge and expertise of my experience to help individuals or groups of children achieve their maximum academic potential. It is my passion to foster a child's confidence and give them the belief that they can achieve their future dreams and ambitions. Certificates and Qualifications:

Hello everyone,

If you could like your child to have 1 to 1 tutoring and they are between 5 and 11 years old, please get in touch. I have 14 years of teaching experience and I currently balance my time working in different schools across Birmingham and I am currently tutoring 5 children separately during term time. I have 2 available slots from September. Over the summer holidays, I can offer some tutoring block sessions if your child is sitting their 11+ exams in September if they need that extra boost before their exams.
