‘She sat at the back and they said she was shy,
She led from the front and they hated her pride,
They asked her advice and then questioned her guidance,
They branded her loud, then were shocked by her silence,
When she shared no ambition they said it was sad,
So she told them her dreams and they said she was mad,
They told her they'd listen, then covered their ears,
And gave her a hug while they laughed at her fears,
And she listened to all of it thinking she should,
Be the girl they told her to be best as she could,
But one day she asked what was best for herself,
Instead of trying to please everyone else,
So she walked to the forest and stood with the trees,
She heard the wind whisper and dance with the leaves,
She spoke to the willow, the elm and the pine,
And she told them what she'd been told time after time,
She told them she felt she was never enough,
She was either too little or far far too much,
Too loud or too quiet, too fierce or too weak,
Too wise or too foolish, too bold or too meek,
Then she found a small clearing surrounded by firs,
And she stopped...and she heard what the trees said to her,
And she sat there for hours not wanting to leave,
For the forest said nothing, it just let her breathe.'

We love having these two beautiful girls to look after everyday. It’s been so lovely to watching my daughter learn to take care of them 🐷🐷

They are a fab addition and because we have to provide them with a really varied vegetarian diet the whole family is eating more fresh veg 🙌🏻🥒🥕🥬🌽🫑🥑🍉🥕

Going on holiday for 2 weeks and kitty needs twice daily visits. I also do this 🐈‍⬛🐈🙌🏻

Beautiful mixed media creation. Little T made this for my dog Spot, The two lolly sticks represent a kiss snd the writing in the right hand corner says ‘I love you Spot’ and you can’t see it in this image but there is some emergent writing too.

So simple and so much thought, processing and learning happening here. T’s kindness shone through all day as she made lots of gifts for Spot and shared resources ❤️

I’ve been exploring the CBeebies sounds app with Annabella and we’ve found this series focusing on different animal sounds 🦉🦇🦜

It’s really great learning! This is a great series for children who need to develop their listening skill, speech and language, experience calm and connect with nature 😁

✅ Understanding the natural world
✅ Copying and making animal sounds

You can easily extend the learning by getting out and about and enjoying your own sound walks 😁

I’m feeling the lemonsqueezy love this weekend 🍋 Caught up with one of my lovely families for lunch and as I was leaving the mummy said “You are the best nanny we’ve ever had and we’ve had a lot of nannies” 😂🥰

I would love to recommend Stephanie at ICE first aid training 😁 She made it really interesting and we had a great day.
