Reflecting on my first year working outside of a classroom, I feel incredibly thankful for how busy, rewarding and fulfilling it has been. I’ve learned so much and, most importantly, I’ve continued doing what I love — supporting children and young people and sharing my love of English and literature. ❤️📚

This year has reminded me that education is about so much more than exam results. Children aren’t data on spreadsheets or targets to be fulfilled. They are individuals who learn in different ways, at different paces, with different strengths, talents and potential. Teaching should be about recognising and celebrating those differences, building confidence, inspiring curiosity and creating opportunities — not being drowned by endless administration.

I’m incredibly proud of all my GCSE students and the hard work, resilience and determination they have shown. It has been a privilege to support them on their journey.

Now, I’m ready to start a new academic year — and feeling slightly overwhelmed that I have only a very few spaces left! Thank you to everyone who has supported, recommended and trusted me this year. Here’s to another year of doing what I love. ✨📖✍️👩‍🏫

Well that’s it for another exam series - 16 students from a range of abilities and schools have now sat all their English GCSE papers.
Just love getting feedback straight after exams… Very proud of all of them.
